Sigiriya - Ancient Sky City Built With Advanced Technology

One of the most impressive places in Sri Lanka is Sigiriya, a site often named the 8th wonder of the world. Sigiriya was also home to an ancient city that sat atop the monolithic rock towering 650 feet over the town of Dambulla in the Matale District of Sri Lanka. The site attracts thousands of tourists daily and has been a UNESCO heritage site since 1982. Many believe that the giant monolithic rock looks unnatural because of its perfectly flat top, which almost looks like it's been cut at a precise angle. The locals believe this ancient site was built thousands of years ago by an ancient Hindu god, named Ravana, who was part of an advanced race of beings known as the Asura. These deities are said to have come down from the sky and ruled over portions of humanity. There are strange scoop marks and holes in the rock, and at the top, there are bricks, marble blocks, and an enormous granite water tank found in the middle of the site. How all of them were built and how ancient carried the materials to the top is still unexplained.

As mentioned before, all ancient megalithic sites and monuments are manfound but extraterrestrials-built. Specially this one which looks like a base for some kind of a technology put there out of reach to work, or a temporarily inter galactic resting spot as you have seen in movies, or some kind of tower for guarding something...Whatever it is, it doesnt belong to humans at all, i put my life on it...

However, the late professor of archeologySenarath Paranavithana concluded that Mughalana was christian. The way the rocks have been cut is so skilful. I hope you can answer some of the questions.

He was a fabulous leader to our country with so many talents and engineering skills. We call this engineers who lived at that time as “Yakka “ . We believe this unbelievable creation was built by them, because this talent is extraordinary than the technology that was there in the world then. We’re so proud of king Ravana and our motherland.💪♥️🇱🇰

The royal palace of Sigiriya was entered through a path inside the Sigiriya rock. Stairs were not built outside Sigiriya because enemies were coming. It is said that there is another palace inside Sigiriya. It is said that after the British conquered Sri Lanka, they took all the antiquities there to Britain. Meanwhile, it is said that there were parts of the Sigiriya treasure. Later, the door is closed and the reason for closing the door is unknown. But they were cursed by Ravana for stealing the treasure of Sigiriya. Some of the antiques are in the British Museum and many are auctioned off among the world's richest men.

Sigiriya is truly a marvel of ancient engineering and artistry. The advanced technology used to build this fortress is simply mind-boggling. From the intricate water gardens to the rock-carved architecture and polished Mirror Wall, the builders of Sigiriya were truly ahead of their time. The fact that the irrigation system still works to this day is a testament to the ingenuity and skill of the ancient Sri Lankan people. Moreover, the frescoes at Sigiriya are some of the best-preserved examples of ancient Sri Lankan art, and the level of detail and sophistication is astounding. The women depicted in the frescoes wear intricate jewelry and have elaborately styled hair and clothing. The fact that these paintings have survived for over a thousand years is remarkable, and speaks to the durability of the materials and techniques used. In my opinion, the evidence of advanced technology and artistry at Sigiriya is undeniable. It's a true testament to the creativity, skill, and ingenuity of ancient civilizations, and a reminder that there is so much we can learn from our past.

So after all that, you still think the locals during the dark ages, built this, under the leadership of a paranoid and murderous king? I do not. That man only stole what he could from this place. Besides. Nobody can carry these building materials to the top of mountain like that, without Large Army Construction helicopters and cranes. There is no other way. Literally.

I don't think Sigiriya was built by ancient Sri Lankan people but rather by their masters. It's like saying the old african american slaves were very proud of what their white rulers built, which I don't think they would be. I think the reason these ancient reptilian masters are no longer around is because the ancient people rose up against their evil rule and drove them back underground where they came from. Unfortunately now those same evil rulers from the past have risen up again and taken over the whole world and soon it will be time to drive them back underground once more. Peace🤙

I'm a bit confused, what is the evidence for advanced technology there specifically? ...I seem to have missed that part of the presentation... like your comment, she says there's evidence of advanced technology and then moves on, perhaps my video skipped the bit where that evidence was presented. Similarly, could you define what advanced artistry is as I'm not familiar with that term... is that art that is more complicated than the kind of art you'd expect to see there...? Thanks for helping me learn here, I fail to see the obvious sometimes, even when it is clear as day to everyone else.

@@JesseP.Watson Hey Jesse, the evidence for advanced technology is the structures on the top of the rock because, without advanced technologies, it's impossible to get thousands of tons of material to the top because there were no stairs there. Also, the granite pool was made by carving thousands of tons of granite from the rock, and granite is one of the hardest stones on Earth. Also, there are various scoop-like marks on the stones, like they somehow melted the stone with some advanced technology and reshaped it. These marks can be found also at the side of the rock, at places where the rock is at 90 degrees, and it's impossible to stand, let alone drill and carve the rock. There are no signs of primitive tools and chisels on the rock. The tons of granite removed are also not seen anywhere around Sigiriya, meaning that they must have removed it and taken it somewhere far away, which is a monumental task in this jungle area. The underground water system, and the drainage system, are also very advanced and still work today, thousands of years after their creation. Basically, the very existence of the structures at such a place suggests the ancient must have had some sort of ancient technology to create such a structure.

As a Sri Lankan, I have heard legends about an inner palace within the Sigiri rock, accessible through a cave gate located near the lion's foot. This cave gate provided access to a path leading from the inside of the rock to its peak. It is said that this path was used to transport bricks to the top of the rock. Currently, this pathway is hidden from the world, and there are rumors that it was sealed off secretly. According to legend, the path was closed by H.C.P Bell, a British Ceylon archaeologist. You should check out Praveen Mohan's channel where he covers many ancient sites found in India, Sri Lanka, Combodia, etc. He usually ties it back to Hinduism and finds clues or hints the builders left that mainstream archeologists dont seem to mention. The amount of insane buildings, temples, carvings, and ancient sites still around and in fairly great shape is astounding and I dont understand why these areas dont have nearly as much archeological influence as other well known places. Praveen shows lots of really wonderous and amazing places, usually in person, and ties it back to ancient texts. I dont always agree with his assessment or theories on everything, but its still really insightful nonetheless and you'll get to see TONS of places you would probably never hear about otherwise. He has a few videos on this place, one going over the 7 or 8 different defense mechanisms that start at the gardens and work there way up, such as how those gardens could be rapidly flooded and why the ponds/lakes are at varying levels so if you you were a warring faction that didnt know the area you might easily fall into an alligator infested pool. Also those pictures of ruins in Antarctica were 100% fake and created from AI image generators. Many people still dont realize how easy these images are to make and what to look for in AI photos so a lot of people fell for it but even the guy who made them has come out and said all the photos he's made of "newly found photos from some real historical lost expedition" were fake. I think its kinda crappy to try to pass them off as real. He did this a few times, more than just the Antarctic photos, there was a few lost jungle expedition photos floating around too, so be careful with everything you see out there. Those pics are as easy as typing in "18-1900's black and white photos of Pyramids (or Temple, Ancient Structures, etc) in Antarctica" and you'll get 4 different ones in about 30 seconds. I was able to tell instantly those pics were AI as there's a few things to look out for on top of them just having this certain dreamlike/nightmarish feel to them.

Yep, and this video barely touched on how remarkable the gardens are. Check out Praveen Mohans video detailing the 7-8 various defense mechanisms of this place, starting with the garden and working their way up. The garden could be rapidly flooded to create one certain depth, which is also why the ponds and pools are different heights and sizes and not all asymmetrical, so if a warring faction came and didnt know the right path to take they could fall into one of these deeper pools, many which housed alligators.

This stupa is believed to be the place where all remains of the Buddha scattered across the world will come back during the last day of Buddhism in the human world and vanish highlighting the teaching of impermenance in Buddhism even for the things so revered as the Buddha's. It bothered me a bit that the possibility of a crane - or several - of some sort is not mentioned, the narration focuses way too much on the absence of stairs, and there are enough examples of buildings erected on top of steep hills or such in recent times where we know that something like that was used to make it a good possibility. There seem to be enough mysteries in the place even without that to make it an interesting subject for this channel anyway, so not mentioning the possibility actually weakens the whole video in my opinion as it seems like an attempt to make the place look even more mysterious in order to sell the content. And that makes the whole channel seem less reliable. I prefer content that looks at all possibilities, including the mundane, and ones offered by traditional archaeology ones, then admits if something has been possibly done the way the archaeologists claim, and then focuses on the truly unexplainable that is either totally ignored by them, or explained away in ways that are probably, highly, or totally impossible once you really think about it - or it is looked at by an expert of another field who should know more of the subject than an archeologist speculating about it does. Like in the case of the erosion marks around the Sphinx when a geologist noticed that they were done by flowing water, or like when professional stone smiths, having worked with stone for decades, have said that something could not have been possibly done the way archeology claims.
@JesseP.Watson

@@pohjanakka4992 This area of 'exploration' is more of a cult trying to find ways to justify their lost ancient Atlantis civilisation and, obviously, attract viewers for profit from that "mystery train". When you watch a lot of this stuff you realise that it's basically all politics and rhetoric - the "archeologist can't explain this" is a standard tag line, they say it all the time whether or not its true and that whole thing is a fiction anyway - there is no establishment there in this field - there's lots of different researchers often with contradictory ideas - there may be one leading theory of the moment but those often do and will change. Aye... it's very similar to flat Earth, everything's about the conspiracy and very little is actually about the artefacts, real evidence and research, what is there is all to underline the claim that "the establishment is lying to YOU ...WE HAVE THE SECRET... and you can have it too for ONLY $999 on our Sri Lanka tour!"

I am a Sri Lankan. Sigiri was built by King Ravana. He was a person who controlled the whole world with his mind. Sri Lanka has the lowest gravity in the whole world. There is a mountain that is still associated with extraterrestrials. Its name is Lakegala

It was actually built by George Washington, who was a super buff giant that won the world from Gengis Kahn in an arm wrestling competition. He used the lower gravity to increase his bench max, but his dishonesty in this regard made him lose his godly powers. Those powers were then absorbed by Theodore Roosevelt, who then used them to kill King George of England with a pair of Nunchucks. Nunchucks are still illegal in the UK and Canada to this very day.

As a note to everyone, whenever someone is painted as blue, this means they are really dark-skinned (I.E. Black skinned). The blue is used to represent Blue Black. Being so black in color that you had a blued hue to your skin.

This a brilliant creation by men of the past. The Sigiriya is right there for everyone to see. Unfortunately, the video is more on mythology than the wonders of Sigiriya. For example, there is no mention of the Sigiriya frescoes that have lasted thousands of years, mirror walls, or the walls with poems.

Those cuts or grooves you see on certain parts of the rock surface had been carved to support bricks plastered on to the rock, bricks fit into those grooves giving it a good hold on to the rock surface. It is believed that an internal place existed (which had been later concealed by the British who captured Sri Lanka), so there should have been some sought of an staircase or more likely an elevator inside the rock.

Did anyone made any studies about the virtues of that huge pool? It looks like the stairs go strait into it so it made me think if maybe has some healing or regenerating properties. Great video btw. To me this entire structure of sigiria looks like a machinery ready to take off... Are there any discoveries about what is inside?

Few years ago they found a new city under the Anuradhapura city which dates back to thousands of years . But the government of Sri Lanka is lacking funds to excavate ,so they stopped excavating .I visited the excavation sites in 2020 but unfortunately due to the rain most of the things has washed away and those places were not even conserved but was able to see few excavated homes . But it was around 10 feet under where we were standing which means that the old city is around 10 feet under the current modern city .So no one will ever be able to find out the lost old city as it needs millions of money for the excavation process.
