Watching AGDQ in 2013 or 2014 was so much more fun, it felt like just watching a group of people hanging out and commentating. Now its way too overly produced for me, though I get thats bound to happen since it got so popular
You rarely ever use the left side of the controller, which is why you hold the middle and right prongs. The middle has the Z button underneath the controller. Weren't born in the 90s? Fun fact: The Wii nunchuck is derived from the N64 middle prong, it's identical (besides the buttons).
Great race... exciting to the very end. Being the underdog, I was rooting for Sicko! If his backwards longjump wasn´t off for the run, he probably would have won! Really enjoyed watching this!
Shoutouts to simpleflips! Im just here because my 16 star pb got ruined by the endless staircase to WDW glitch. And the legend himself is in the comments with 4 likes...
EmmettXIV around the 20 minute mark in the video he passed the controller to the guy to his left.(sicko did). He couldn't do it himself so he cheated and gave the controller to the other guy. You want a cheater to win?
It goes without saying, but it was super nice of sig to take it easy on Sicko. Really fun race to watch, loved when Jiano stepped in and took the reigns. Good fun.
Sicko uses VC, and Siglemic uses N64. They're both playing different versions, too. Like 30 seconds before, Sig says "This race isn't that serious, Sicko hasn't played since 2011". This was a race for fun, for the donators. If it were some sort of actual serious race, they'd be playing same console, same version.
so there is one thing I wonder... In shifting sands (The desert map I think that's it's name) the 2nd mission they go straight for a star on the side of the pyramid. Not sure if it is just on the DS version of the game but if you grab the box by the start of the level it does I believe 3 jumps. I think you can get that star in about 4 seconds by using it and landing the last jump on the fence and you end up going about on the star. I don't know for sure but from my memory that star took me a few seconds to get on the DS version of the game.
well, not neccessarily, some runners prefer certain versions. While the VC does take a bit because of the classic controller screen, it lags a lot less (hence sig angling the camera weird in the water lever, to reduce lag).
he said during another playthrough, that he likes the soundeffects for the red coins more than in the other versions and that was the dealbreaker for him
I miss old A/S GDQ....back when it was people who wanted to soeedrun for fun and they just had people talking and having fun and raising money for a good cause...now it's a business and everyone is "super serious" and it's not fun anymore. They push people to donate instead of having fun prizes and wanting to do something good.
um... yes. Judging by that homage of a username, you're bound to be bias. Watch the speedrun. You'll see that Sicko's mood is about as red as mario's hat.
