I’m watching this like I needed more reasons to buy it 😂 I have Sigma 35mm and 85mm 1.4 lenses, and this is definitely next on the list! Awesome shots!
Stunning pictures, Curtis! But at the first pictures you should have cleaned the whole Front bumper, because now you only see the right pdc sensors! Greetings fro germany 🫶🏻
Dynamite post, Curtis. Perfect venue and weather to make the yellow Lambo pop. Impressive branded jacket says you are armed w/sponsors😊. Cute “habitat” gag. Fine lens for tripod/monopod, but too heavy for my hand-holding shoots. Did your Sony recognize the lens focal length for purposes of IBIS? Cheers!
Thank you very much for testing the lens in the field, in real life Curtis! The contrast between the lambo and the landscape is amazing, very good pictures!!! 🔥 When I tried the Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 I had two big problems with it: 1: The zoom ring is very forward on the lens and you have to rotate it in a different direction than usual (it takes some time to get used to it)! I think this makes it less stable to hold compared to the sony 70-200. It would also be much better suited to the sport designation,if the opposite zoom ring could at least be used to change focal length quickly (and too much twisting compared to a tamron or sony). 2: I don't understand the lens hood, why it had to be screw on style. It's harder to unscrew and it gets in the way and even covers out of the zoom ring when you have to put it on. Personally I will wait until the hype dies down then when the price drops a bit I will decide whether to buy this or the tamron 70-180mm g2.
I had the sigma lens and it’s a quite heavy lens. The zoom ring with the front cover on is a bit weird and You’re losing grip space. The lens itself is super nice for portraits, landscape, streets, … but not for action. This one was actually crucial… for sports it’s heavy, not fast in focusing and lost lots of pictures due to burst shots. I went for the Sony 70-200 GM ii. Again, this lens is a very good lens but not for sports.
I'm unsure on that one mate, Canon have been in the Mirrorless game for a while as we both know and it baffles me that they still won't allow third party lens manufacturers to create lens for RF. Switching to Sony maybe be an option it's why I never considered moving to Canon when I was going to Mirrorless cause I couldn't afford any of the RF glass. Hope thag helps 🤙🏻
