Since the rise of concerns of hearing people teaching signs on social media for clout, their gain/profit, etc (and it has been a problem for a long time anyway), I’ve gotten a lot of similar questions of people who want to learn sign language from the right sources, but they aren’t sure how to “tell.” Clearly, there are many ways to identify someone you shouldn’t be learning sign language from, but I figured I could share the top 3 to start with. Feel free to add more in the comments below. Bottom line, it’s about opportunities for Deaf people to take that space on social media- #learnfromdeafpeople . Hope this helps in a way!
