We have to remember it was the lack of goals that got us relegated. Alfie May plus ? Will get us goals. Part of the spine we need! Two good keepers fighting for the shirt is good also. Decent CB and DMC a must! KRO
Our midfield has been very poor for years. In my opinion we need 4 midfield players and another 4 or 5 attacking players. Our defence only conceded one goal in our last four games.
Great podcast yet again guys. Decent business by our Blues so far. I think it's a toss of the coin personally for who goes between the sticks. Great to have some competition more importantly. Chuffed with the Alfie May signing, but like yourselves I wondered to what has happened to the 'no more 30+ year olds ' coming into our club. Still think we'll need another striker or hopefully two depending on what formation Davies wishes to play. Personally not a big fan of one up front, and I don't see Roberts being a number 9. A 10 yes. KRO gents
Great episode lads. I am particularly excited about May though - league’s top scorer for under a million is great business. Alex please get a proper mic!!!
For a future KRO video & podcast, I think you could review all the young players in BCFC that have now signed a professional contract. You mentioned Menzi Mazwi in this one, so do you think that he or some of the others could be part of the next season? Trevan Sanusi was sold to Newcastle, but it seems he hasn't got a game there yet for the first team. And there was another 15- or 16--year old guy, who was so much hyped around 2005-2010 but I don't remember his name. He was contracted by a big team but I don't remember which one, and how it went. Does anyone remember?
Alfie May scored a lot of goals for teams that really didn't do much. He should get well fed at Blues and is something we dearly needed. I love the appointment.
Blues signing him stops anyone else having him. I’m not 100% about the signing but if we become a team that creates and creates good opportunities then he will score.
My favourite Brian Dick press box horror story was in the Mail a few years back, 'Having sat through several bouts of sweeping showers blown into the stand by the gusts, I’ve been upgraded from Row A to Row C. It’s not en suite but there are at least a couple of wind-breaking journalists between me and my laptop and a worrying fizzling noise'.
We still haven’t learnt from last season we had no height or strength in midfield and up front we had no ball winners this league is physical and you have to fight your way out
