I have a running partner who I think is hiding how she feels about me bc she's married. 💍She texts me first a lot, sends me selfies a few times a week, and seems interested...yet, after 6 months, we never meet for anything except running together at the park and talking afterwards for up to an hour! Ive offered to treat her to coffee and dessert, but she is reluctant to get together in case someone we both know sees us together. It's frustrating! I will say, recently during our post-workout talks, she’s branched out to mentioning her husband so I’m fairly certain this places me in the “friend zone”. She tells me he doesn’t understand her or they have a tiff ver vacation plans and the like. She’s talking to me like I’m her girlfriend lol. But it’s okay, bc having friends willing to share personal things is hard to come by these days. I’m fine just being her friend.

Well another dating coach say that she at one point coach that guy who was 33 and he never had a girlfriend, that made me mad and upset, because it reminds me that men are more likely than women are to remain single that long. At the same time people will say it's not too late for him or never too late for him, a lot of people out there see it's not worth it anymore, once they reach a certain age because they see that it'll likely be no longer fun when they're older

Hi Melannie I’m wondering if my crush, who is a coworker, likes me, but is hiding it. Sometimes we’ll have a great conversation and other times she’s quiet around me.One time I caught her looking at me out of the corner of her eye and later asked me if I was at the same place that she saw me. Another time as I said bye to her and was walking away she turned around and said I’m off tomorrow. Not sure if she was trying to suggest something. Just recently I saw her after a 2 week period, as we were both sick and I acted so happy to see her, but she didn’t have the same excitement as I did. I’ve been talking to this girl I went to high school with via Snapchat. We never really talked in school, and I’ve been out of state a few years. Well we’ve been talking for a couple months now, sending each other flirty messages and what not. I've been talking to a woman at the gym. I'm in my early 50s and she's in her late 40s . We talk often she smiles and is always looking at me in the mirror. She's always smiling when we talk and she points directly at me and leans in when she laughs. I recently asked her to lunch and she very politely said no but she has a nice smile on her face. I think she was flattered and was almost apologetic. Here's the kicker. She said she's married but I never see her with her husband or a wedding band in public. I think I may be mad! I am a very healthy 68 and have a strong personality and I am confident. I have made things HAPPEN all my life. But now, I am buggered. I have this stunning 21-year old (stupid, isn't it) filling my mind night and day. I have noticed her looking at me a lot. She has also mouthed kisses at me. By the way, she is a new bar lady. One day, I was feeling a bit down, and she came over to me, put her face 3 inches from me, and just looked into my eyes. It was like an electric shock for me! Surely this can't be! This belief is reinforced by the fact that she doesn't read the few whatsapps I have sent her. I think she must be after the luxuries I am able to buy. I was married to a lady 23 years younger than me who certainly did that, and it cost me a bag full of pain. Not to talk of the millions that went down the tube. Am I right to avoid her in spite of the fact that I want her?

@CoachMelannie - So I have a woman at work that I like. The interest is mutual. we both have been flirting since January 2023. I asked her out, finally, on June 9th, 2023. She said she would "entertain the thought". And week and a half later she approached me and said she isn't interested/ready to date. I asked for clarification on if it was me specifically or in general. She said in general. So a little back story... my coworkers have known me for two years. They have known her for five years. They have NEVER seen either of us so happy and two of them has thought that we have been dating since January 2023. This woman has three daughters. Two of them from one guy and the third daughter from a different guy. The two, lost their dad in late February or early March of 2023. So my question is, is she really interested in me and just has a lot on her plate right now. Or is she not interested in me at all? Thanks.

To me this is what ive realised. When someone the woman you like always have excuses of why she cant go out with you is a nice way of saying im not into you. Id rather the woman i like just tell me shes not interested or just says no i dont want to go out with you. I am beginning to feel ill never understand women. Why not just come out and say it. Sorry, i dont understand this code type of communication. This is why I'll end up single. 😂 Sadly what may up happening is a friends with benefits situation with this woman. I guess its better than nothing 😊

I have a question. How do males and females bond with each other? I don't see how men and women can bond (especially romantically) with each other. Women can build incredible friendships and become very close to each other in a way men can't bond, and science shows that women can bond very well with each other. Generally, women are even more social than men are. After something bad happens, a woman quickly rushes to talk to all of her female friends to get support, whereas a man can isolate himself and grief alone. Women tend to be more emotional, more caring, more empathic, more compassionate, more affectionate, more loyal, more nurturing, more understanding, more sympathetic, more sensitive, more kind hearted, more peaceful, more calmer, more gentle, more expressive, more intuitive, and more outward than men are, and thus bond more with other women in a special way that they can’t with men. Men, on the other hand, are not that emotional, and thus can’t bond with other men in a special way. Women are more comfortable being around with other women than they are with men. They have a type of bond that usually men with women won’t really have, or with men and men. Men are usually much lonelier than women are. Men don't often talk about their personal problems with their male friends like how women do with their female friends. Females produce a lot more oxytocin than males do. And that's a reason why women tend to hug a lot more and be a lot more physically affectionate than men do.
