Thanks! You have a good knowledge of the fuel system on a car. I like to learn about automobiles and listening to you and others helps me gain more knowledge. I dont think i'd try to replace a fuel filter on a car because i dont have enough experience but its nice to learn from you. Maybe someday i will be able to diagnose the problem with a car and fix it and save money. That would make me feel great!
My mom recently put diesel in her Civic which the mechanic took out and cleaned the injectors. Now she has a check engine light and the car cranks but is hard to start when cold. Do you think the diesel fuel might of clogged up the fuel pump/filter?

Hi, could you please suggest what could be the issue with my car: car keeps turning power off randomly while driving. mechanic can't figure it out. recently changed engine breather and pcv valve, later mechanic changed crankshaft position sensor. problem persists. computer won't show errors I can drive 30-50 miles - seems ok. then engine turns off all of a sudden and this coincides with backfire (?!). when this happens it usually won't start right away - need to wait a little. sometimes a minute, sometimes 10 minutes I have an old e36 318ti m44 compact with 130000 miles /210000 km
