Only 1 single in the top ten in the UK and only 2 albums made the charts. That money? It was £350k. Still, not bad for what looks like a kids novelty group.
When Muriel asked if they hate the music business she seemed open to the idea of liking them. When she asked them what was creative about Sputnik, they got defensive and she turned hostile. I've seen interviews Muriel has done in the 80s with sh!t groups and she gave them major respect. We've done a quadruple-album and Sputnik r a major musical influence on our music. No Serial Killer.
She seemed very upset that they took the piss out of her serious Music journalism.... I remember her... well.. I forget her name.... and.... well everything about her ... ... Sputnik still Rocking the world though! **** EDIT**** www.google.com/search?q=Muriel+Gray&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiL_OuEj7fhAhUzThUIHQxYAlYQ_AUIDigB&biw=1536&bih=806 It all makes sense.. she is a feminist and was threatened by the legs and jaw lines of those two men.... you will probably find her floundering around in the bowels of Radio 4's Diversity Pit.......
Tony had been a punk since generation x,and martain was a big mate of boy george they did not jump on a band wagon trying to recreate the punk image, and the lyrics were moving with the times on the subject matters in the songs.
The woman was totally unprofessional, really showed herself up in an an attempt to look clever. Regardless of what an interviewer thinks of a band they must show some respect, if not for the band then for their fans. So glad she disappeared from our screens, I had no respect for her whatsoever after that.
