Today's restoration of the Jaguar e-type models will also be a comparison between two 1: 64 scale cast models produced by Siku in Germany and Majorette in France. The Siku company produced its model from 1968 to 1974, while the Majorette company produced its Jaguar from 1972 to 1978. Two years of production coincided and then this model was on the market at the same time. My cars are similar to each other. They differ in design. In the Siku model, the door opens and the structure has more elements. The Majorette model has an opening hood and displays its beautiful V12 engine. I focused in my work on getting these two quite damaged models in a very nice condition. I painted in the original colors and replaced the panes in both of them. As for the Siku model, the glass had quite large defects in the front part, while the French model had cracked glass in the rear part. I painted these panes with Tamiya transparent paint on the inside to obtain a color similar to the original tinted plastic. In the video, I also compare boxes that were very different from each other. The German box was much larger and differently made graphically, while the French box was practically the size of the model.
