Hey Daggerwin, should really put straw in for bedding for the cows. 10% more milk plus free manure, and your slurry production will not decrease. I am still testing to see if its more profitable to sell the manure and slurry and buy fertilizer or not, I have not calculated the number of acres I can spread on the manure/slurry vs fertilizer I could buy using the proceeds of the manure and slurry. What I did calculate so far is that with 80 cows (maxed out a base game enclosure), in a single year I could make 50k on the slurry and manure, I think i calculated that it would be 35k fertilizer. One of the two types (liquid or granular) was cheaper per 1000 litres). I would suspect that I could spread more area with fertilizer than with slurry using just the proceeds from selling slurry and manure. Might even be able to afford to buy enough fertilizer and herbicide to do both. But will finish my test tomorrow (maybe), I would have finished it today but my spreadsheet is on another computer I cant access at the moment.
@@toddblankenship7164 I have so far spent about 4 hours doing a test to satisfy my own curiosity from the base game, over 12 game months with 2 enclosures both have TMR and are filled with the same breed of cow, both have cows at 100% productivity. One has straw bedding the other does not. The one with straw always seems to produce 10% more milk per 24 hours. The actual amount seems to vary through the year, I bought both sets of cows at exactly the same time both enclosures have the same age cows and are full (cant reproduce as no room). Using the 80 cow capacity enclosure from the base game without feeding robot. to start the test I loaded the enclosures gave them TMR, gave the straw enclosure straw as well. Then advanced time until the cows were at 100% productivity before stopping time. Emptied milk, slurry from both and manure from the one with straw. Set the game day back to Jan midnight. Advanced the game 1 game day by using faster time scales, stopped the time at exactly 00:00 February. Recorded the results, for that month the enclosure with straw netted 13000 milk, 21666 slurry, 17333 manure, and the cows consumed 30334 TMR, and used 8234 straw. The enclosure without straw was 11700 milk, 21666 slurry, 0 manure, and the cows consumed 30334 TMR and obbviously had no straw. Month 2, with straw was 12000 milk, and no straw 10800 milk, as the milk production was lower so was the TMR consumption, slurry/manure production, and staw use. The best months were April, May, and June where the cows with straw made 14000 milk, 23333 slurry, 18667 manure, while consuming 32667 TMR, and 8867 straw. The enclosure without straw was 12600 milk, 23333 slurry, 0 manure and consumption of 32667 TMR. The only difference between both enclosures was milk + 10.0000% (yeah I went down to 4 decimal places because it was that accurate 10% exactly). The other difference was extra manure at the rate of around give or take 20% less than the amount of slurry generated. But the slurry production didnt change at all, so it was bonus 80% fertilizer. Test was completed using base FS22 with only 1 mod enabled which was Easy Development mod on easy economy.. I am yet to compare how many acres I can double coat fertilize using the manure and slurry for 12 game months vs using bought fertilizer to a value equal to the sale price of 1 year worth of manure and slurry. I am curious to know if you could make a profit from selling manure and slurry then buy fertilizer, or if you could buy enough fertilizer and herbicide to cover the same area for the same price as selling the slurry and manure.
With 1 silage bale needed for TMR. I would only keep about 6 of those bales, (6 loads) and sell the rest. Being almost December you should get some decent $ for the rest of those bales. Just my opinion. Keep up the great videos!!
I use an old well to get my water on the map I’m playing on. I don’t know the name of the modder but the water is free and to place it is pretty cheap. I think it would fit in very well on this map.
If u can't afford a forager, loading wagons are quite a popular purchase for dairy farms in the Vale of Belvoir area in Leicestershire (near where I live); a popular one being the Pottinger Jumbo. Thoughts for a potting jumbo on Purbeck??
Hey, love your plays i might have some sugestions,: enter with thr food on the side just to avoid that muddy part, You could also cut that tree for easy access to the water
Having growing up on a wet muddy farm, the Mud Mod is so far from reality. I will not be using it unless it can be scaled like Dust mod. Great video though Dagg
I can't wait to see your court farms let's play these are amazing let's play's keep up you'r amazing work Dag Oh Daggerwin why don't you use Precision farming?you will get more money for doing the tasks you already do?
noticed u still have texture flickering issues, had it a lot n was driving me mad, but since the 1.9 update i have no texture issues at all, happy days
Cheating: No matter what you do you are cheating in one way or another. It's a game and it is the type of game where you set the rules and parameters. Cheating is when you step outside the rules and parameters you have set. Someone else cannot say whether you are cheating or not, you decide that. If you think upgrading without paying is cheating then it is cheating and you should pay. Easy enough. Those that disagree with your rules and parameters can set their own in their own game.
I say next time get a trailer that fits the back of that machine or change the hook up on the trailer. Follow me looks like it's a pain riding next to you.
Sorry nothing to do with the game but I am wondering why when you put a video out, I get the notification for it but don't get any number in the bell to say I got a video waiting to be seen. It's only on this channel. Anything you've done?🤔
12:33 Lol, they ran out of everything, not just food- they’re all dead now! Or all those cows should be sold to a more dependable farmer ;) “realism is key” and a full month without food or water = ☠️
Maize plus sounds stupid and annoying. Just adds more complications to everything it seems. But to each there own. It's your channel do what you want obviously. But seems like way more that you have to keep up on on top of everything else that can already be a struggle. And on top of it, use mods like that and a interactive bakery and such but literally use no mods when it comes to equipment, tractors ECT. Watching you use the same base game crap every series gets old. Games been out for a year and a half now. If you're going to start new series with agitating mods, at least take an hour and get some good equipment, tractors, factories ECT off mod hub. It's there to use. Even if you don't get the "unrealistic" mods that are available for all platforms, you at least have to start using different realistic mods. I've been watching you play for years now. But in my opinion, every series is just getting stale watching you use the same stuff over, and over and over again. Download a freaking modded feed mixer. Download different dire drills. Download something new to use out of the 100's of factories, animal sheds ECT. Sorry for the essay but damn. Let's get with the times here
What exactly are you aiming for in this series. More field work after filed after field.thats it. No need to buy building, sheds animal pens which cost alot cos u got it all free from start so just boring. Nowt can beat the 200 episode series. And if court farms is like this one then it'll be boring
