Silence in the Jailhouse - Elvis sings Simon & Garfunkel 

It is said that when Simon and Garfunkel first started their career, as Tom and Jerry, they were greatly influenced by the style of the early Elvis. Even though T&J recorded more in the wimpy Everly Brothers style, they always ended their sets with a blazing rockabilly number. When it came time to record their epic poem The Sound of Silence, Elvis' Jailhouse Rock was a major influence; for example, the number of verses is the same, and the rhyme scheme in the two songs is almost identical. The original rockabilly version has not (as far as we know) survived, but here is a possible reconstruction, featuring bass singer Asterian as Elvis.
