Impractical? The Rhino has a much softer recoil impulse than a standard revolver. The barrel sits much lower than a standard revolver. Staying on target is much easier. And the maxim...to be at least it seems like an awesome home defense gun or duty gun. Much shorter than a handgun with a suppressor and no need to screw one on in the first place.

Do yourself a favor and get some electronic hearing protection, it's well worth the money. I finally got a pair and they are great.

That's why electronic ear muffs exist. They are truly amazing. But I would 100% be all about suppressors if it wasn't for the $200 tax. Also suppressors are great for people in more suburban/rural areas that have enough technical land to shoot, but have neighbors withing 100 yards of them, therefore making it illegal to shoot without a bunch of paperwork and permissions. But even then suppressors really only work on small calibers. You still need ear pro when shooting even 9mm suppressed.

hanzo52281 A Glock with a good suppressor runs 1300-1400.00. Then add tax stamp to that. In all reality the price isn't that high. That being said I'm not going to be purchasing one myself more than likely. It's a neat idea/design. Maybe if I was able to shoot one I'd want one.

Its priced like any other 500$ gun with a 1000$ suppressor. If anything I applaud them for the price point.

Neal Johnson yeah but unlike the maxim the suppressor is detachable and compatible with other configurations like a subgun or pistol caliber carbine or even a different caliber all together. If you are paying 1k + $200 + 10 months wait, you want it to be as flexible as possible. With the maxim 9 what you see is what you get and for some people that simply isn't enough for the price they are asking for.
