Angela doesn't seem as messed up in the head as she did in the original. She should be a bit confused and weird acting. I still love it and cant wait.

Please fix the characters faces and make them look the way they're supposed to look. Specifically Angela and Laura.

Angela in the original game had a look on her face and the appearance of a weak and depressed person due to the abuse she suffered, looking even older with a thin face, but in the remake it seems like that was lost, she doesn't look confused, I hope they change that like they did with James

Please change Angela’s face. Tweak it like you guys did Jame’s face. Other than that, the game looks incredible

My personal concern is not about her being "consulted". It's obvious that there is something with the model and mocap quality. If James' face look PS5, Angela looks like a Sims 2 character, no offense. Also the line deliveries are the most important element which is seemingly lacking. She can have a deep voice and have the original enthusiasm at the same time. She doesn't give that "constantly overthinking, in the survival mode, shaking with anxiety" vibes anymore. Even her "Sorry" sounds pretty reasonable here, although it was supposed to sound unnecessary and excessive.

Konami truly hates silent hill since they would just give away their most iconic game to some random ahh developers

am i the only one who's really put off by Angela's face? the graphics are great on the terrain but somehow the character models resemble lumpy clay figures more in this version

worried about Angela, I hope they still show her mistrust of men, I don't like the impression i got from her asking James to tell "him" she'd be good.

As a game developer, I have also been reflecting on Angela's voice in the game. While it's not terrible, I do have a concern regarding the voice actor's performance. In certain parts of the trailer, it feels like she lacks confidence in delivering her lines. It seems like she's putting too much effort into pushing out the voice lines and overthinking it. Specifically, during the line, "There's something wrong with it. You can hear it," there is room for improvement in the delivery. Additionally, the line, "You shouldn't be here," could benefit from a more impactful delivery. But besides that the game is visually stunning.

Bloober has always been hit or miss. Most of their games have solid foundations but some weird things here and there. I’m getting that same sense from this trailer. Gameplay and visuals look great but the voice acting and characters faces can only be described as “Euro Jank”.

Uhhhh … I don’t feel it. Angela had more agony in her voice acting. This one is missing on the feels. Also, why did we change on the og characters. They don’t even look or feel the same. I don’t think I like this ..

I’ll have to join the bandwagon on this because this remake needs to be as perfect as it can be on release, DO NOT RUSH THIS GAME!!! Push it back if need be but please don’t rush this game. Polish it as much as possible until everyone feels comfortable with releasing it. Take your time. We can wait as much as this game needs to be made well. Don’t rush it, please.

I think at this point they've already failed at capturing the feel of the og. It's a shame, they could've put real fans to work on this project.

Angela’s face doesn’t look good

Sh2 is my all time favorite game ever but something about this doesn’t feel right. Not trying to hate but idk. I’m still gonna give it a chance but my expectations are low and realistic

This seems a lot more jumpscare heavy than the original, which had 2 at most. The enemies don't just attack you they need to scream in your face. There's also a few instances of generic screams from behind when going for an item. And it's true it's hard to judge dialog from only a few examples, but when almost everything shown is worse, you can make a decent guess. Things like Angela saying, "Tell him I'll be good" is so much less subtle, the conversation with Laura after the apartments was over in 2 seconds, unlike the full conversation in the original (It essentially went like "Hey what are you doing" "Go away, you didn't like Mary"), and Laura calling James a fart face 3 times is just.... As for the atmosphere, areas don't seem as dark as the original, the monsters don't seem to make much sound in the distance, and the areas look far more open and large then the original. But most importantly, the nightmare realm seems bloody and rusty, like SH1 and 3, which really doesn't fit SH2.

You completely missed the intended purpose of Angela's original look. Although she was extremely depressed and broken you were supposed to be able to see her attractiveness under it all and make the connection that her character was taken advatage of, and abused, because of what she looked like. This was supposed to touch on deep seeded fears and insecurities a lot of naturally good looking girls have when they're being stared at, or pursued by, creepy people. That was the point of her having an attractive face. Also, it's very obvious that you guys went out of your way to make Laura look worse than she needed to. No child's mouth looks like that. That's just not what mouths look like. And since the other characters have normal looking mouths, that means you purposely tried to make her look uglier. This is a perfect example of destroying original artistic intent.

At the beginning I thought it was a real person. Then I got it was the gameplay. I don’t know the faces seem to be captured with AI 😕 they’re weird 😕 except for James’

Incredible work, James's running animation worries me a little, but the section of the enemies' attacks, the sounds, the atmosphere of the scenarios is wow, leaving many of us anxious and wanting.

Wish they had a option for og voices. They sound way better especially Angela

Something about this seems kinda off.

I feel like the lighting in the first scene could use a little touch up, the shadows are almost nonexistent and it looks flat.

It looks ok, but maybe some places sometimes look too bright compared to the original. Laura looked good in gameplay video, so did Maria, but Angela looks funny in this one. We'll see when the game comes out !

Just fix some of Angela’s animation. I’m sure that will make the game 50% better

Surprisingly this classic masterpiece still keeps this atmosphere when I watch a 9 minute gameplay... The soundtrack is still keeping a perfect old atmosphere and it's the same just like my old vinyls from this game. Resident Evil looks like a fair tale when compared for this classical horror game. Pre-order is a must.

Raise your hand if you are not into these guys hiring Hit Detection video game consulting and deliberately ruining the game with unnecessary make-believe, current trend bullshit that is not needed in video games. Money is all these companies are about, and not buying this garbage is the best way to hopefully some day get a good new Silent Hill game, no matter how much it stings right now to have a potential remake of a well loved classic fucked like this.

Americans have yet to shown they know how to make Silent Hill. Let's see if things will change.

Half of people complaining have never played the actual game at all. That being said, the model of Angela does need a little tweak up, but otherwise, it's fine. Also, to the people saying she needs to feel and look abused, I dare you say that to an actual abused person.

Angela and Maria in the original looked, behaved, and sounded the way they did for a reason, that was one of the crucial parts of the story, which I assume you'd have to be extremely familiar with...so the changes you guys made are 100 precent unacceptable if you're aiming to ''preserve the original story'' as you said yourself, so I don't understand you in a way... I'm not gonna even go into all that 'modern audience' stuff...nobody actually knows who or what that is, (a made up term with a divisive meaning)....I mean, hiring some company to put a 'sensitivity and ''inclusivity'' layer' over a game with a story like SH2 ? c'mon guys....there's a lot of positive things we're all seeing in this remake so far, but don't wreck it, because we can also see that that's a big possibility at this point, and I think a lot of comments and dislikes speak for themselves...It's not just ''toxic fans'' as they say, complaining for no reason...Graphics look good, a bit of a grain filter would be great, animations need quite some work but I'm sure you are aware of that...the original had more of a 'Lynch' dreamy, dazed atmosphere to it...both the town and the characters, but nothing can compare to the OG I suppose it was in a way a product of its time....I'm stll optimistic tho, you can still fix a lot of this stuff and make it as close to the masterpiece as you can....c'mon Bloober.

I'm trying to watch this through the lens of a newcomer, not a SH2 fanatic, but the dialogue, at least as presented here, feels way too fast, like James and Angela are rushing to spit out their lines. I actually am surprised by how much I like James' new VA, but so far I really don't care for Angela's voice, but that could just be the direction/delivery. And her face looks off. But given the small cast I really hope she grows on me. Cannot wait for this game! Edit: Angela's dialogue is too on the nose. Her abuse is supposed to be inferred, subtextual. Meanwhile this is pretty blatant....

I find the glossy, plastic sheen off-putting. That grainy, damaged film reel look of the original was kind of a key element of the aesthetic, I thought.

Was hoping for a collectors edition physical but looks very good. Especially after the gameplay in the transmission
