I have a theory: the larva we fight doesn't die, it runs away. This leaves the player expecting that they will encounter them again. Well, I think that we indeed find it again, on it's moth form
The first boss, it is the easiest... yet the hardest. 'Cause if you didn't know the first time, that its weak point was once it open its jaw (as it is explained in that storybook in the school, about the hunter and the lizard), it could kill you with one bite if it caught you. The very first time my brother played this game back in the year 2000, we have no proper knowledge of the english language... so he didn't know about that detail. So when That Moment came... he was killed with one bite xD. The second time he could kill it, 'cause at the right time he did what the tale explained, without knowing it for sure: Just took distance and shot fast with the shotgun. It was really quite a surprise back then xD
I just realize that the shotgun is a dual-barreled shotguns which can only shoot twice before reloading, and the main character shot with it six times before reloading like a boss
I think the best Silent Hill game is the first one, i mean Silent Hill 2 is a masterpiece, but i really like more the first one that Silent Hill 2 :D And i love the ending with *Tears Of...* and Alessa saving Harry and Cybil or Harry before die... is so sad but happy :,)
I love this game! I have an original disc, it is like a treasure to me. I think I will never have enough of the game, it is simply perfect. Oh man I would have loved if Lisa could have been saved, but she was condemned soul. What a great characters and atmosphere. Old games were better in my opinion.

I've finished this game 11 times but i didn't realize that this caterpillar boss and the moth boss outside alchemilla are one and the same, not until i did a research on enemy names for silent hill 1.
god i miss this experience! each time brings back some serious nostalgia but each times if fades a little. I miss that feeling i had playing this game at 13 yrs old in '99. When this games graphics were as good as Uncharted/last of us (for that time). Still fun to play every few yrs but the each time the controls feel a little furtherfucked.
I played it on my 10 yrs. I can undertand that experience that you miss! Also every Silent Hill game (from 1 to 4) has the best graphics for the time they were launched. I remember how Manu times I was amazed by the graphics.
Hi I am very new to the silent hill franchise and I’m about 20 years old. I got the game just last month and played the crap out of it I have to say it is probably the best horror game I have played in a long time and I have enjoyed it more than silent hill 2... I honestly don’t care if games back then I had lower graphics, I think that’s what adds to the creepiness and atmosphere of silent Hill. The game was really fun and I got multiple endings and I think I have all the weapons in the game.
When I was a kid I saw a disturbing movie of evil cats, not animated It was one of the most disturbing things I watched in tv! Witches movie from 1990 was also disturbing as a child when I saw kids being converted into mouse I believe there are spirits into this movies and video games!
We don’t need a remake. We need another game with Hideo Kojima’s creative skill and Guillermo Del Toro directing, you know like PT. Also, Kojima should regroup Team Silent.
Nah, i rather Kojima make a new ip. Besides i rather have team silent making a new ip than going back to their old ip, they are amazing artisans and i wanna see them making something new with the tech we have today.
Excellent video! I passed this game ten times and I got all the endings. I must say that this game is the creepiest game I have ever played! Not only that, but it's creepier even than Omen movie from 2006 year!

I’m just here to say it’s been a few years since I beat this game, and I had no idea the rifle was right there during the larva fight. I thought I screwed up when I realized it was integral to defeating The Incubus, but I somehow beat him with just the pistol.

The best horror game ever. To bad konami fucked with the franchise after silent hill 4 and fking cancelled the epic kojima silent hills. That would bring it back but they killed both silent Hill and metal gear franchises with one action
In the final boss I don't get it about that bottle because the bottle made it the white girl into a demon but what was the bottle really suppose to do when Kalfman said that's not suppose to do that?
HWORANG LAW Aglaphotis is a special herb in the game (which is in the bottle). Basically, it works similar to white sage, holy water or an exorcism - it expels evil. Kaufmann threw it with expectations that it would stop ‘God’s’ birth, if he expelled it from Alexa (White Girl) - sorta like an abortion, but with demons. However, as he came much too late, all he did was separate ‘God’ from Alessa, which is a literal expelling rather than killing it like he’d hoped. Alessa doesn’t turn into a demon per say, but rather it tears out her back, leaving her body to attack. For gameplay reasons (as well as era) they couldn’t really leave her body in the field during the fight. The Split Head’s campfire is sorta different (hence the fire being left there and Alessa being removed in the demon’s aka the Incubus’s fight). TLDR; Bottled herbs shoulda killed Incubus, but instead just separated him from Momma Alessa as he was nearly fully developed. Hope that helps ^^
+Great Value Ryuk Michael Kaufmann is a part of Dalia's cult. He agreed with Dalia to keep Alessa's half-dead corpse hidden under his hospital. In order to preserve her body for the ritual, he needed a caretaker. As such, Kaufmann used the PTD drug, which he had been trafficking around the town, to force Lisa into prostituting herself. He then blackmailed her into the hospital job. With the state of Alessa's rotten body and the hallucination caused by the drug abuses, Lisa has been forced to live a living hell for 7 years before Harry came in. Despite his cooperation with Dalia, Kaufmann himself is not interested in the cult's works, and is only in cahoots with them to get money. He secretly developed Aglaophotis out of the PTD to screw up the Samael's resurrection. In short, the guy is a drug trafficker, an unethical and greedy doctor, a cultist, a backstabber, and overall a horrible person.
