FINALLY!! Someone who KNOWS how to drive a 2 stroke Detroit! Every old school driver knows, you have to slam your hand in the door to be in the right frame of mind to drive one of these! Wind it to the governor and keep it there when you're pulling hard if you want to keep it cool and not burn a ton of engine oil.😂 I love the Tigger Kitty on the dash. She's used to it!😻

@@Romans--bo7brits somewhat true actually its not good to idle them or really any engine for long periods of time it glazes up the walls in the sleeve which gives you low compression

This is one of the best sounding engine mods ever made in this game, I love it and it could even be an alternative to listening to the radio since these ol' 2-strokers alone make music on their own in a good way lmao.

This detroit diesel literally fits any truck even the the ford l8000 mod that im using it fits so good now enjoying the ford l8000 with detroit diesel

hey,do you play that new convoy mod? if so how do you set it up/what do you need for it? another thing is im seeing online about another game like this coming out soon so wondering if you know about it,the videos of it look cool,its called alaskan truck simulator (cant spell it right) so check it out ive seen another 1 on here and i have it but cant play much cuz im having trouble setting up devices/controls on it,its similar to the long drive and my summer car its called wasteland trucker,so just wonder if you seen that 1

Thanks. Have seen a bit of the upcoming games but not been too impressed so far. Let's see. Convoy mode is a bit complex to explain in here. I recommend googling/searching YT with keywords ets2 convoy tutorial or ats convoy tutorial. Good luck!

Hey there, I’ve got two slightly random questions. What do you have your brake intensity set at? Haven’t been able to find a sweet spot between giving myself whiplash and running off the road at the end of a motorway to avoid queued up traffic. And where do you mount your TrackIR camera (relative to your TrackClip’s/your position)? Mine works fine and I’m able to look around smoothly no problem in the TrackIR driver, but in-game the camera would suddenly jump to an odd angle when I turn my head in certain ways. I’m assuming that doesn’t happen to you?

I leave brake intensity at default for the most part as it's too finicky to change imo. It varies depending on truck, load, etc, so I'd rather leave it alone lol. TrackIR camera is on top of the monitor, anywhere is fine. The impt thing is no other bright objects the camera can see (e.g. Open windows) as it can get confused where the clip is. Good luck!

The problem persisted even after I made sure nothing was confusing the TrackIR - only the three reflectors show up in the Camera View page and none of them are obstructed when I look/move about. Though I found that if I deliberately angled my head slightly downwards when looking at the nearside mirror, the camera doesn't freak out. Same thing with OMSI 2. A bit strange!

@@rtn_727 hmm yeah that does sound weird. Might be worth investing in a pro clip of some sort so it uses ir lights instead of simple reflectors. I heard those are more accurate and resistant against noisy brightness environments. Good luck!
