We're one step closer to a flushing toilet (after three years). In this episode our small downstairs bathroom receives a few coats of hemp lime plaster. www.makedogrow...
Well thank you Guy I found that very therapeutic and I must say the walls in the 'little john' is looking mighty fine. Could hear Kylie beavering away in the background. You both work so hard and it must get monotonous day in day out mixing and sanding. Have a good week ahead xx
So admire your motivation, stamina and determination to get this renovation right for the house. The plaster is looking amazing. Can only imagine how tiring it must be.....but the end result is so worth it.
Plastering is an art, and it takes many steps to get the finish that you want. This is why most US builders just slap up some drywall and call it good. We could hear Kylie doing something in the background.........
Great editting, you managed to keep me engaged even without your descriptions that I so much love, so congratulations on the result of the film. Still, I won't dispense my dosage of honesty and sincerity you have gotten us used to 😅 The reason I love your channel is the fact you are yourselves and don't get overexcited with whatever it is you're working on, so great to have you guys laying it as it is with your natural sense of humour and great dose of positivity. Please keep doing it 👏🏻
Sometimes Guy needs an editing challenge … and likes to try different styles. And sometimes there’s not much to say given we’ve done this multiple times before, and many more to come 😂 Interesting to see the mix of comments… some loved the silence, some hated it (even had to block someone for their self-indulgent a*hole comment)
@@MAKEDOGROW very true! Better not talk than say a lot of nothing! Again keep up the great work we all appreciate so much you guys sharing some much of yourselves ❤️

Beautiful. You guys are such house artists. Looking forward to seeing what I’m sure will be equally beautiful results of the buzzing in the background.
Great work and a good idea to start in a small room and perfect your skills before embarking on the main rooms. I feel for Kylie still sanding away, your poor neck and shoulders. Take care. ❤
Hello my favorite renovators in Portugal. Keep inspiring. I am counting down will arrive in Lisbon on Dec 7th. Looking for my own farm to begin my life on in Central or Northern Portugal. I love all of the work you have been doing. You two are AWESOME. Thank you. Hugs Gina in Upstate New York USA headed to Portugal
Nothing needed to be said really. The hard work and growing skill level was good for you and us to appreciate, and in parallel we all new that sound was Kylie toiling away with the sander...legend.
Love more work, less talk. Makes it look like more is getting done and we know what you are doing without you explaining it to death. A lot of the European videographers use this platform, works for me..
DING DOONGG!! Bravo.... a real tour de force!! Very much enjoyed this style. Although, the witty fine vocabulary laden episodes are also quite enjoyable. Never miss a sode and always look forward to the next. I hope to do a similar project in Galicia once my children are a bit older and more independent. Carry On! Fan from Miami
Love this format guys. Because a video with no spoken words is relaxing. We all know what you are doing as we have been along for the ride. Now we can appreciate the art starting to grow. There is also beauty in repetition. I am an electrician in the U.K. and I have some specific questions about Portuguese standards. But for now that can wait 😉
Yep, how much more can we say about lime plastering (though there’s always someone ready to complain 😂). Standards are mostly based on EU regs … but for sure there are some very lax interpretations
You've made a grave error. Your troweling skills have improved quite a bit. Your mixes are far more consistent. You put this info out on the web. At some point the requests for plastering or plastering assistance will begin to pile in. A plasterers shingle may be in your future hehehehe. Thank you for your time.
Hi Guy - your plastering skills are really quite good now - you look like a plasterer. The only advice I would add is to perhaps have a bit more "compo" on your hawk and splay a bit more on the wall. Otherwise REALLY good! I like watching your skills improve. Also - we usually flick a full brush of water on the wall rather than a sprayer - achieves the same aim but slightly quicker with a brush.
I liked the episode but I missed you talking 😢. That's one of the reasons why I watch you, because I laugh a lot. But, I understand it has been like this because all the sanding in the other room 😂 I hope you finish sanding soon!
Actually, it was just an experiment… so Guy’s creative side gets to do something different for a change. Plus, we’ve talked about plastering so much already it feels like it’s all been said
Looks great. I can't wait to see what you do in the lounge. I really hope you keep the stone picture, but if not, I'm keen to see the final look that pleases you both.
