This video was created using the Business Edition of the software. However, everything that I show how to do is available in the free, basic version.
There was a request for help in my FB group from a person that wanted to make a calendar featuring a photo of a loved one. This video shows how to:
Adjust your page settings in the Page Setup Panel
Use the drawing and line style tools
Replicate and align items
Fill a shape with a background pattern
Drag and drop an image into a shape
TONS of tips shared along the way!!

When you dragged the picture into the rectangle it automatically fitted in the space, how do you do that? And also, how can I add more backgrounds into my selection? I only have 60

I am a Cricut girl, but am learning the Silhouette as well so thank you for this tutorial :-). Can you help me with my sticker issue? I create the label and add a word to it, but when I go to cut it it will cut the label, but it will also go cover the word so it cuts out both thank you!

Hi :) The software considers text as 'cut ready' and applies the cut lines automatically to anything typed in a design. From the Send panel, select the text or portions of the design you do not want to cut and set the Action to No Cut. If I am making something where the same text is replicated on my work space many times (like days of the week stickers), I will set the text characteristics (font, color, size etc) first, then go to the Send panel and set to No Cut. Then return to the design space and replicate those items. Doing it this way you only have to set the cut line action once instead of every single item you replicated. :)

I'm sorry. I missed the notification for this comment. I'm sure you found an answer to your question but for anyone reading this, you can change the perimeter line color and use the cut by line color option. Use kiss cut settings for the stickers. Run that cut job through the machine. DO NOT UNLOAD. Then change the selected line color, adjust the pressure for the perimeter line to cut through the backing so the sheet is cut out completely.
