In this tutorial we cover the basic use of our new Silicone Glass material: Faux 2O. This is a low viscosity silicone that cures to a brittle rubber allowing it to accurately mimic the look of ice, liquids, and broken glass.

Awesome! I've been pondering how to make a safe glass shard prop for ages. I've seen a dozen methods that only seemed like a *slightly* safer alternative to actual glass.

Super interesting. If I want a glass-like silicone sculpture but I don't want it to be as brittle, is there a product that is like this but keeps the clearness but doesn't break as easily? (Aside from epoxy resin)

For that I would recommend our WC-786 water clear polyurethane resin.

This might be a silly question but I'll be brave and just go for it , if I wanted to create a shattered glass in epoxy table would that work ? I mean it is a kind of silicone I believe so I imagine epoxy won't stick to it , right?

You could embed this in epoxy, but the epoxy would not bond to it and it would try to float.
