Greetings from Singapore Soumit I have been watching your videos for sometime but this route is special to me as I studied in Darjeeling school and from Assam in the 70's - Love for for train rides started then before there was no flight between Guwahati Assam and Siliguri so we would take the metre gauge train from Siliguri not NJP station in the heart of Siliguri our train was Assam Mail from Delhi , which would leave at 6/7pm always late and arrive Guwahati at 6am and Tinukisa at 11pm was a tedious journey .So happy Vande Bharat Express brought India to 21st century in comfort comparable to lot of new trains and but its only at 100km per hr in 21st century not something to be thumping our chest .Running a rail system is expensive though still subsided by the govt in India .We can't create a train for all certain trains should be more expensive as your competing with airlines here and with trains at 200 km/h it will happen .Who would think China now making the fastest trains now and its trains doing 300km/h .I myself been on the Shanghai Maglev we had clocked at 345 km/h but now its toned down to 330km/h .We can do it so have to think big proud to be an Indian
You are correct sir. Even if we take example of Howrah rajdhani, it takes same time as it took in 1969. We are not going good on speed as tracks have some limitations, but slowly speed will be upgraded to 160kmph. I believe taking the average speed upto 100kmph should be the goal, no matter what is the top speed.

The way siliguri has been neglected politically and administratively, is beyond sadness. IT IS THE GATEWAY OF NORTH-EAST INDIA, and look at the atrocious condition of roads, stations and traffic 😢😢
Local roads are still good, but the road near station is just 🤢 ,this is my personal experience, even any village roads are far better than silliguri city road
@@photography632 I tend to disagree. Not all local roads are good, most of the roads are occupied as a "parking space", too much household trash everywhere, I feel like crying watching my city getting no substantial improvement since ages.
Whole India is progressing. But WB is only playing games with Centre and left all development work behind. 10 years ago NJP was far better than Guwahati station, but now look at Guwahati it is much better. Didi needs to work on development letting go playing mind games with centre.
Indian railway is really gem of Asia in my view. The fact that they made this train entirely locally top to bottom (If I am not wrong) is really an impressive feat. I think our Bangladesh Railway has a lot to learn from it I agree with your view regarding the inauguration expenses, but I would say don't worry about this train being non affordable for the majority, because A)it will take pressure off the ordinary trains, which means those people will get better service in ordinary train B) Those people who avoid train in favour of better service can now enjoy a superior service compared to volvo or flight I just wish these trains will reach their 180Kph top speed though 😢 Love you videos Soumit vhay Love from Bangladesh 💚🇧🇩
With time, you will also be able to make coaches and locomotives on your own. Even Thailand import coaches and locos from China. Our lifeline is Indian railways, whereas maximum people in Bangladesh prefer Buses for travel. Hence it would take time, but not impossible.

While waiting for Your North East Episodes, incidentally saw a glimpse of you vlogging near ISBT in another video. The vlogger was incidentally doing a Bus journey Video. It was almost like a RU-vid Multiverse.
সবথেকে অপরিচ্ছন্ন স্টেশন এই নিউ জলপাইগুড়ি স্টেশন ।এর থেকে অনেক ছোটখাটো স্টেশন অনেক পরিষ্কার।এতো টুরিস্ট আসে অথচ রেল কর্তৃপক্ষ বা স্থানীয় শিলিগুড়ি মিউনিসিপ্যাল এর কোনও হেলদোল নেই।।....স্টেশনে ঢোকার রাস্তা এবং ওখান থেকে তিনবাত্তি যাওয়ার রাস্তা খুবই খারাপ।সারাই করা হয় না।।
Vande Bharat seats are not good, even satabdi trains has better seats than vande bharat trains. but overall amenities, running schedule and sevices are better in vande bharat. Added this trip in bucket list.
