@23:43 Having the distributor almost in line with the auger isn't the best position to have it. It can load the top of the auger with quite a bit of weight. Those Valmétal/Jamesway ring drives aren't the toughest out there, especially with the 24 foot models. We made that mistake once, and it twisted 2 of the 3 ring sections. After that mistake was made, we always had our power distributors "clocked" perpendicularly with the belt guard.

Get a few 2x4 's and some rat bait block ( they have a hole through the center of them) and screw 8 or 10 of them to the board, it keeps the critters from running off with them. Then set them on the ground around the equipment . If you use the pellets they just take them all and store them before they die
@billherman37
@billherman37 10 месяцев назад
When you have the silo full you could have a power cord put on the one cable. They have clips that go on Then as the unloader goes down the power cord unlops and lops up again when it is raised. Then if you put a mark on the cables by the whench with it up you don't need to go up there next year. I'm surprised you haven't bent the arms for the wheels by not sliding the one in and taking the tension of the other one.

Doesn't make much sense putting a 6 row head on a head carrier.
@MorganOtt-ne1qj
@MorganOtt-ne1qj 10 месяцев назад
@@JeffRankin277 If you are packing a shed tight, a head on a cart is only 10' wide, regardless of length, and is accessible with something parked beside it instead of behind it. If the snouts flip or fold, it's even narrower. It can also be parked in lower buildings because you don't need the combine to park it. Basically trading the $ for the cart for more versatility. Using forks to move takes extremely precise operation to keep balance and prevent damage. Just imo, and Andy knows his situation better than anyone. 👍,My friend.
