F&F are incredible. No gimmicky 4-octave caterwauling, no over-the-top vibrato, no obscene booty-shakin', Just pure angelic voices with pitch-perfect harmonies.
Tight harmonies and no over-the-top costumes and gyrating is the measure of perfection. It's harder to hit your pitch and stay on it than it is to, as you so aptly coined, caterwaul, which never finds a true pitch. Nice comment, & !
WOW ... fantastic harmony and the harmony reminded me of a singing group that the famed actor and musician that starred on Gunsmoke... Ken Curtis... he was in a singing group called Sons of the Pioneers ... the harmony on this song Silver Bells reminded me of the harmony of the Sons of the Pioneers harmony! Incredible... 👍👍🤠
This another song that reminds me of snowfall in Central Park. You guys gotta get here and play in the park when the air is chilly and crisp. The park in december is a great open place for your beautiful harmonies.
Oh, my goodness! I'm in southeastern Minnesota and have been distracted by the weather, and its aftermath, for a couple of days. What a magnificent treat to find this waiting when I came here to catch up. Absolutely wonderful, F&F. Thank you (for the zillionth time).
@@lynwessel2471 Hi, Lyn. We (in Winona) were right in the middle of one of the twin tracks that came through with the front. For about an hour or so, we sat in the basement listening to NOAA radio and trying to keep up with the tornado warnings and sightings. The background sound from upstairs was 80 mph straight-line winds. And the sirens. Just about the time I gave up trying to track cells that were moving at the speed of those straight-line winds, the NOAA station went off the air -- repeater was hit. After the front passed, there was a lull, and then we got hours of 60 mph gusts. I think they did most of the damage. At about 12:40, a college kid pounded on my door to tell me a tree had fallen on the power lines in the alley behind the houses and was burning. It was. It was a blow torch. Lots of excitement. There were about fifty separate outages within about ten miles of here. Lots of roof damage, trees down all over, some badly damaged houses out in the country, big rigs blown over on I-90. Like that. Wednesday afternoon it was 67 degrees. By morning it was in the teens. Power's back on, emergency heaters and camp stoves put away, everyone's out bucking up the fallen trees and cleaning up the mess. It's *really* nice to come here and listen to this. We are *so* lucky these folks play music for us.
The quality that amazes me most about the Foxes harmonies, besides being pitch perfect, is their phrasing and falsettos are absolutely mirror image. Not just three voices that are each perfect but three voices that are perfect for each other. It is really quite remarkable.
Brought me to tears. The flush of memories from forever gone family and the joy and happiness experienced singing this song on Christmas eve in choir at my elementary school and going home to unwrap one gift. Times gone by but never forgotten. Happy holidays my singing angels. May peace be with you
Hearing you three beautiful ladies sing touches me to the very soul. Every song you perform sounds better than the original. Tim, Toby, Scott, Johnny, and Darwin, many kudos to all of you for your spectacular talent, and for taking these three wonderful angels under your respective wings. You all make up the most wonderful group of people ever put together by the grace of God.
all that's missing from this is a the twang of a steel guitar and we'd have another lovely country music version of this song. good work ladies! keep it up!
Maggie, the angelic voice of F&F calms my voice like no other. The harmonies are so beautiful. Thanks to you light filled spirits for bringing the joy of Christmas to us.
Heartfelt ❤️❤️❤️ thanks for sharing your God-given gift of talent with all of us who appreciate it more than you can ever know! 🤗🤗🤗. Al in Michigan. 🎄🎄🎄
Absolutely fantastic!!!! I haven't heard harmonies like that since I was a teenager and worshiped the Everly Brothers. (Gave away my age didn't I?) These three young ladies are...WOW!!!
I’m a teenager now and I have an Everly brothers cd and they are really good, although you have to be in the right mood before playing them. My favourites are all I have to do is dream, I’m here to get my baby out of jail, and poor Jenny. But yes, everybody in the foxes and fossils team is great.
@@mikeychrisanthus9948 If you like real good music you might try The Petersens. They play regularly in Branson, MO. They have many on RU-vid. Also the KC Sisters do a fine job on My Church.
I've been listening to a local radio station's offerings of Christmas music for a month and a half and no rendition of this song even enters the gravitational pull of this version. Joyeaux Noel!
I love to hear these young ladies sing! They make sounding good look so effortless! I have never been a fan of those singers that scream their way through a song. These girls have that smooth easy tone that is almost to enjoyable for words. They are definitely the jewels of good music . Keep up the good work!
Magical. All of you! My birthday is Wed 12/22. Silver Bells is my favorite holiday tune. What a present! Thank you Foxes & Fossils. - Rob G. (Fan from the very start. Love y'all)
The group's ear and blend are a phenom!!! Maybe they are covering, but when this group does a song it becomes theirs, beyond a doubt. Thanks much for the Christmas offerings. Your kind of style and artistry can't be ignored. Go for it.
