The tach wire should be a white wire from the pcm. It should directly connect to the cluster and function unless the cluster is from a v6. The tach signal may also be not strong enough to drive the tach. If so, you need a 680 ohm resistor between the tach wire and a switched 12v source
BowtieGuy601 what did you do to get your tach working, wired mine up and got nothing, even tried using the resistor and still nothing, thinking mabey it’s the tune in my pcm
Just did my 90 Silverado the truck harness side purple/white stripe goes to green on transmission speed sensor and the yellow wire from truck harness goes to the purple speed sensor wire on transmission this on a 1990.
Hey i just swapped my obs with a 5.3 everything is on now it turns on but when i put it on drive it turns off and when i step on gas losses power any idea wat it could be appreciate it your videos been a big help
Lol It was but ended up having a problem so gotta get hp tuners hooked up to it again soon... ill have a video up of something in the next few days or so
i have a 94 k1500 blazer (4×4) im doing a 5.3 swap, those 2 wires purple and green where do I hook them up to my ecm green connector (pin 50) is only 1 wire (vss)? I'm confused and stuck
@@redrum0243 pin 50 red/green connector is (VSS high output)=copy of pin 21 red/green connector (VSS low input). The other pin 20 red/green connector purple is (VSS low input).
