I just dipped my 6 spoke wheels with the brass monkey and 3 thick layers of the glossifier and they look incredible in person, especially in the direct sunshine. Cameras don't do this color justice!
I have some michelin tires on my silverado like yours on sum 12.50/20R they look great, very sporty! I'm looking forward on plasti deeping the rims to see how they look. Thanks for the video.
Why not just spray over the gold with 1-2 layers of Brass? Aslong as its clean you can keep changing the colours on top of eachother, and the other colours will just act as layer thickeners so you wont need as many cans.
How does the dip hold up to being pressure washed/cleaned after multiple car washes? Any peeling, flaking, fading, or any issues? I'm definitely leaning towards doing this to my rims.
The gold ones had went through 2 different winters and blasted by pressure washers basically every other weekend and had no problems at all. I blast the these new ones all the time with my pressure washer and they made it through this winter with no fading or peeling. I just have to put some dip coat on them like once a month and the look just like the day i sprayed them. Really just depends on how take care of them.
I did my while Jeep with 3 gallons of this stuff. It held up great to trees, branches, mud rocks and winter elements. I was never nice to it when washing and it held up too damn good.
Oh great idea! Has anyone tried this on rims they've ceramic coated? I'm wondering if it wont stick. I ceramic coat everything! Protects the paint, keeps everything clean and maintains a great shine. I love those rims. Those are my speed...Happy Thanksgiving Mitch! Keep the great ideas coming!
Dude you need to tape off the tires instead, plus at least cover your truck,and put newspaper on the floor, lol😢be sad when you feel the grit and rubber on your trucksmpaint.l
