I’m setting here next to the best and most handsome man I’ve ever had the privilege to know. My husband had a stroke last month and now he’s in a rehab facility. He can’t walk in his short-term memory is horrible. He is getting better though slowly but surely and I show him the videos of all of my favorite gorilla troops, and it just brings a smile to his face, which makes me so happy. I’ll even ask him do you remember this troops name some he gets right off the bat some I gotta help a little bit but that’s OK. It’s a beautiful day. I’m taking for a walk. Well, he’s in a wheelchair, but doesn’t matter we’re going to get outside and we’re going to enjoy the sunlight 😊😊😊
Shabani & Kiyomasa are best friends. Shabani looks forward to playing with Kiyomasa almost daily. Kiyomasa is the only one giving Shabani affection. The females would do anything for Kiyomasa. But Shabani can't even get a hug!
Looks like Shabani is going to have to put another beat down on his son to keep him in place. The zoo is failing in its duty of care to these animals. They had plenty of time to plan since the moment Kiyo was born.... 11 years and they've done nothing....
i imagine that this is going to happen sooner than later - also i have noticed some recent looking wounds on shabani on his face - signs of them fighting not captured on camera?
Yeah. Moving these very social animals is tricky and requires time and planning but the zoo doesn't seem to have either Leaving the 2 males together NOW will quickly turn into a disaster and they will both get injured In the wild Kiyo would move on to forn his own family but in captivity he is forced to challenge the big guy for a chance to mate In his own enclosure with a group of females and no other silverback he doesn't have to challenge anyone
Love the moves they have excellent body posture they are very smart and intelligent animals always learning something new each day from them we laugh and learn and benefit from the gorillas thanks take her out to dinner or something she would be very impressed love you guys thanks stay safe and warm out there way to go !!! Joe 😅😅😊
Both dad and son are in heat, and Shabani never forcefully pursues AI, which is good but works against him. Kiyo on other hand is very persistent. Hopefully Shabani and AI can mate soon.
They are half siblings so I’m not sure that would be great for the gene pool but she does seem a little more interested in Kiyo. Probably bc Shabani is her mother’s mate and she respects that ?
I wonder if they have a large pool of water for the gorillas. Having some large beach balls, and other large items for them to play with would keep them from getting bored.
Was this video of today ? i swear this was of a few weeks ago . because shabani has been very stern with kiyo did that change from yesterday to today ?
@@SomethingAboutGorillas i fully understand , i was just wondering thank you so much for the response 🙏🏼♥️🦍 i appreciate the videos that i have grown to love this troop from 🌹🤞🏼
I so wish the gorilla's couldn't hear the airplane's, that fly over them. The noise is not good for them. I think the unnatural sounds may cause them to feel anxious. They deserve better area's, where they can hear bird's and the noise of what they would hear in the jungle. I really care about their care. What is in their best interest. ❤️🙏
Those poor, poor gorillas, having to live like this. I know that being able to see them increases our awareness of them as a species and results in better choices for those who live in a natural environment but it’s still terrible to watch them here.
That male looks bored, why don't the zoo owners start leaving educational type toys, puzzles and other complex learning aids for these magnificent creatures, surely that would delight the crowds and help those inquisitive minds
