A beautiful performance of "Emotion Sickness" from Rock In Rio 3 in 2001. Please leave comment and/or rate video and I'll keep uploading the very best of Silverchair! Cheers!
Same here! Nearly fell over after hearing this for the first time at their concert in 1999 in Sydney Australia. Neon Ballroom wasn’t out yet and came out a couple of weeks later. This and Annas song were the first 2 songs that night. And then Slave.
I can never figure out what he says after "get up". Is it "won't you starve my brain" or "start my brain" or "stop my pain"? Most lyrics websites suggest the latter but I don't hear that.
@@seanbelltv I never thought about this. I think "stop my pain" fix more with the context of the lyrics and the song. But, we never know , Because the writter is mister Daniel Johns.
Ha Te Happened too quickly for a kid from Newcastle with a part time job collecting trolleys at Woolworths and working class parents. Entered a competition in 1994 and won, then number 1 single/E P (which a record company guy in L A heard and got it played in America on radio) all over our teen magazines like tv hits and smash hits as well as revolver and Rolling stone magazines etc and had to quickly record an album and then sold out pub gigs and large festivals in Australia then off to the USA for a few smaller venues and then large venues supporting the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Canada, then back to Australia for some large festivals, then Europe and South America at large Festivals where they were very popular, back to America for larger gigs and festivals and then Australia playing at large venues and we are still only in 1996 and not even in their last year of HighSchool.

Thanks! And yea :( It's really heart breaking that he struggled with his illness so long :( And I read in a interview that Dan said "I will stop singing Ana's song when I don't feel that way" And he was still singing that song in 2007 );
I think if you went through what daniel went through there will always be pain, he is still in pain today.. i'm not daniel johns but i suffered through some horrible things in life, the pain never really heals.
Daniel Johns, estava com transtornos psicologicos e anorexos em 2000, por isso em 2001 também só tocaram no Rock in Rio porque foram indicados pelo RHCP.
I don’t think even Maynard and Adam Jones from Tool wrote songs nearly as good as this at 18 years old. I remember watching this live at this time for the first time and almost fell over when they opened with this and then Anna’s song after only hearing Frogstomp and Freakshow prior. My mate and I looked at one another like oh my god! When they started with this!
Hahaha, no way! He says "Chris" at the end, he's clearly giving some sort of warning to Chris because the song right after this one was a song they were playing live for the very first time.
@@SE-zn9yr He does it in every concert. He's motivating himself to get through the show. "Come on, Dan, you can do this." "Come on, Dan, you got this, you got this." At times, he'll even yell it, just away from the mic so people can't hear, but it's still picked up a bit.
Man.. what the hell happened to him between 97-99 that turned him into a billygoat. Way too much vibrato. He’s not even trying to sing. Beginning of the end
Ewww!!! Who's idea was it to put limp biscuit at the beginning. Gross. Anyway-I'm not crazy about this performance. I understand an artist like to evolve-but the falsetto ruined it for me. Aaaaaaand I think it's safe to say-that with this performance the nirvana comparisons could finally be laid to rest.
Alfredo M. Rêgo Neto Their final silverchair album Young Modern was a piece of shit as far as I’m concerned and this coming from someone who saw silverchair live 13 times. Unfortunately he hit the etase button after the album that would have been released cos he didn’t want to do angry anymore And do happy instead which was out of alignment. But Daniel still has talent. Check this out. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i3vc38BkI8w.html
07SuperchargedSS I disagree! I think it's the best! So passionate and creative.. he was always changing up how he sang songs live, theres a few bad notes but you can tell he means every note. Shit made me cry, smile feel inspired and depressed at the same time.
