It’s a masterpiece. But like most things it’s never realized at the time. If this album got recognized again, now, I truly believe it would blow up the world.
Always sounds like Daniel is playing a 7 string, Ben plays bass so well he fills in the guitar perfectly. Not to mention Chris is an absolute beast on the drums. Fuckn god damn they were good. And confident. It’s all weak stuff these days
Sim, infelizmente, não consigo entender ele falar que este tipo de conteúdo fantástico perder a graça, mas ficar gravando música eletrônica pop sem originalidade alguma...
2:58 Damn even with voice over it you can hear this great version of Across The Night, love these runs ! Would be the best thing honestly if the would release the album but the striped raw ‘demo’ version of it for its 20th birthday or smth..Cmon guys just a thought 😏😩
where's the rest of this documentary? (Parts 3-5 are missing). I remember this one part, a short clip maybe about 1 minute long probably less, where Daniel was sitting at a piano and playing a really nice chord progression/melody. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
very cool. thanks for uploading !! ben's fine shirtless self, daniel a cappella and sweep playing make a very nice piece of footage =) does daniel's shirt say 'kennedy space center' or am i crazy? can't see the last word.
Love One Way Mule! Those 8 songs would have been awesome as anger suited silverchair and was true to how Daniel was feeling at the time, better out than suppressing it. Straight lines and the greatest view which sounded like any old commercial bubble gum cock rock radio song were way bellow the standard that silverchair could create.
YES, REMAIN DEPRESSED. THAT'S THE ONLY WAY TO "KEEP IT REAL". "TUNA IN THE BRINE" ISN'T THE MOST BRILLIANT SONGWRITING COMPOSITION OF THE LAST 30 YEARS OR SO OR ANYTHING.
@@lichtfilme no problem, I thought it was a long shot since this comment tread was from a year ago but I thought if I can help a fellow silverchair fan out it is worth the shot lol
this is just sad really. too many directions to try and please an audience that was not going to buy ANYTHING from this band no matter what they put out. In Daniel's little head, he thought he was still 15.
What are you talking about?? They sold millions of albums and won awards for this particular album AND for young modern! Their music did change over the course of time but that Is what allowed them to become better artists and musicians although they were already extremely talented. The song writing is a reflection of Daniel’s mindset through out the years . If you look at the band Incubus they also morphed into something that was very different from how they started out as 15 year old boys in a Nu-metal band . Now all the boys from both bands are in their 40s , except Incubus is still making music for their old and new listeners.
