That is so cool. I wish all the many silverchair videos that are now appearing in droves on RU-vid had been available back in the 90s and 2000s. I was the biggest silverchair fan in my youth and waited in vain for material. But back then there was only mtv, viva and later go TV in Austria. Silverchair contributions were very, very rare. I can actually only remember live n direct on mtv and that was shown during the day while I had to go to school. I am all the more pleased that all these treasures that have been lost for decades are now turning up in 2023. I'm currently experiencing a real chair revival. On my RU-vid channel you can now see and hear some silverchair covers, some alone and a few together with Ben Gillies on the drums! Greetings to all chair fans & friends. Cheers, Sinus ;)
Exactly the same here!!! I remember even when their singles were on MTV, (which I could only watch at a friend's), all we had were Kerrang and Melody Maker etc interviews!! The clippings and posters out of those magazines were my life!!!! I only ever heard Daniel speak at the times I saw them live in the UK!! I remember at Reading Festival 1999, (UK - pronounced Redd-ing) Dan said something along the lines of, "I hope everyone brought a good novel, for the reading festival!" I was 14 and so desperate to speak to him and of course let him know I wasn't like all the other fans, who wanted to speak to him - and let him know they weren't like all the other fans..! 😂
Daniel Johns still makes solo music if you're interested. Although his music today sounds more like Nina Simone than any rock band. Still pretty interesting.
@@RavenousFallenNina Simone 😂 It’s definitely different from Silverchair. I’m really hoping he will release another album like Diorama or even Young Modern in our lifetime. I’m pretty patient…
The crazy thing I found was an early demo they put out the start of 1993, and this song was on it, and all the drum parts , the fills rolls all the same, so jezz how old were they in 92 if the drummer was born in 79...mindblowing.
I used to have the full show on a VHS before my mother recorded a TV show on it, hi mom, love you ! I think it was this one, by night, it was on a roof facing a crowd on the other side of the street. They didn't play another show like this one anywhere else, don't they ?
