Silverchair is a band that I want to raise awareness of. They've been relatively forgotten about in North America due to the dramatic shift in their musical style on later albums, also because of their "indefinite hiatus" announced in 2011. This is the first song from their Neon Ballroom album, which I believe is the first true Silverchair album. I cannot recommend this band enough. Go buy one of their album immediately.

the D5 tuning is really awesome. i learnt it from MArk Tremonti and later found out earlier Silverchair songs really rely on this sounding/tuning. Really Great!

This one is "Open C#minor" The use open D5 (its actually C#5) on paint pastel princess from this same album. Mark Tremonti is my favorite and i also learned Open D5 from him as well 🤘

Awesome cover bro! I heard Silverchair since i was a child, and i remember when Neon Ballroom fall on my hands, it was an rebirth of great band, it steals the air on your chest. Emotion Sickness is one of the best song ever heard. Your cover was amazing, deeply and brutal honest. If you want i'd like you record a new version includes the medley that Daniel plays on "Live From Faraway Stables" wich close perfect the feeling of this song. I apollogize if my english is not ferfect i never learnt truly from a teacher only by myself. Greetings from Argentina and i repeat: this cover was fucking perfect!

It's great to see you paying homage to Silverchair performing such amazing covers, thank you very much! However, you say Neon Ballroom is possibly the first true Silverchair. I know what you mean, and I would say that I agree with you, but Frogstomp and Freak Show were special too. What's more, I see lots of "postgrunge" bands trying to rock, but they just cannot put out an album like Freak Show, which was written by teenagers!

Another great Silverchair song! You are on fire bro! My personal favorite album from Silverchair is Diorama. Might I recommend covering "Too Much of Not Enough" or "My Favorite Thing" or if you can do it acoustically "Tuna in the Brine". Great stuff dude. Keep it up.
