Shane is insanely good but i can hear some vocal post production like auto tune, its especially obvious at 1:09:43 when he sings "in to your room" you can hear the computerized jump in notes.
@@Jaymz87 this guy gets it. Standard fans demand it to be "just like the album," but that's simply not possible, and as a result, this encourages the use of add-ons like backing tracks or live pitch correction and filters applied to screams.
Shane is one of the very few singers that actually sounds amazing after 20 years of doing this. Usually their voices are done for but he's only gotten better with age.
@@jgambler1188 also, Bert was a massive smoker and drinker, then add drugs on top. Just like Adam from Taking Back Sunday, guy sounds awful. Im pretty sure Shane hasn't had any addictions that we're aware of so he's sounding super healthy.
can we please talk about how much better the background vox have been since Marc joined. Loved Neal dont get me wrong, but the riffs on the classics are tweaked in JUST the right way, background vocals are 10x better.
When I was highschool back in 2001.. I was thinking if there is a punk music that has a screaming part.. then I discovered the casualties and some hardcore punk...then Silverstein start to rock my world..I am 36 yrs old right now damn..time goes fast... Thanks to Silverstein being part of my life.
It's not human how this man can still sing like that after doing this for so many years, such an absurd quality. I watched it live in 2011 in Rio de Janeiro, just a few bunch of people and his energy was so intense that is unforgettable! Cheers from Rio
I refused to get my vaccine so I couldn't go to this. I was supposed to take my little brother with me to it. My bro went with one of his friends instead. I've seen Silverstein 6 times beforehand and will see them a 7th coming up for their This Is How The Wind Shifts anniversary tour in November, but damn does this ever just look like the best show ever . . . . I'm glad my brother and his friend still got to enjoy it. Maybe I can catch a 30 year anniversary for Discovering the Waterfront haha . . . .
You're probably right. But I would definitely reccomend watching the Senses Fail Joshua Tree session. Everything about it was great. Same with this one.
This is an incredible live edit & set. Discovering the Waterfront is loaded with sing along gems. Call it Karma hits so hard, 17 years since it was released. How does this only have 4,117 views?
First off, WOW. I am so sad to have missed this show. second, SHANE your voice is so tight man! the control and vocal agility is astounding! sounds just like listening to the record but better and changed. UH BAND! lads!!! you all sound fuckin' unreal! the harmonies and the vibe!!! i refuse to miss you next time!!! KEEP IT UP
Time flies... So many great bands came from 2005, teen angst looking members now all in their 40s or late 30s. They might not look young anymore but the spirit continues!
Props to Shane, but he's well supported with live pitch correction and distortion filtering on the screams. You can see the cracks with the high notes on Infinite where his falsetto is incomplete and wasn't detected. Sadly, a vocalist face complaints from fans when the vocals aren't point to point like the LP, which they can't be, that was a controlled environment and live shows aren't, so the pressure to deliver is why all this live production add-ons permeate the culture.
I remember seeing them and Hawthorne Heights in 06 at a little church in Boston and if you were to tell me they would still be around and killing it over 15 years later, I would have lambasted that idea. Instead they just kept getting better.
😭😭😭 i love them so much!! I will see them anytime they are within 3 hours of me. They sound the same since the first time i saw them in like 2007/8 😍 ♡♡
I Watched the whole show nearly 100 times now .... always getting permanent goose bumps with the Aquamarine Acoustic and the encore Bleeds no more ... Im so fcking excited for the Show in Hamburg on the 27th November 2022 - I will be there !!! Sincerely - An ultra fckin hyped Fan since 2000
Such an amazing performance. Silverstein is not just my favorite band still after some time, they’re also my Emo legends (yours too, haha)! After decades of their career, they’ve managed and still are managing to put out such amazing albums & songs. You don’t have to love every album & song by them, but you have to admit that everything by them is so fucking amazing. You have to have some variety in albums & songs, otherwise it would be so boring listening to any band. I really hope that vast majority of Silverstein’s fans agree with me on 100%. If you don’t, I pity you. Silverstein is one of the few bands, if not the only band, which has stayed so fresh after all these decades. And in my personal opinion they have even managed to become better than before. Not every band has at least stayed the same. Some bands don’t even exist anymore and still haven’t come back yet. This is why Silverstein is still my favorite band after some time now. Can’t wait to hear more new songs & albums by them, to keep going to their concerts, to see them during VIP times, to buy new albums by them, etc.
Back when Broken is easily fixed came out I had just got an ipod 40 gb and took my cd books out but decided to leave Silverstein in the player for whenever the battery died on the ipod. All my friends and gf at the time ended up getting so burnt out on it but I never did. And to this day I'll put it on and all these feelings and memories come rushing back like a title wave.
I am constantly looking for… the amity affliction, AFI, new found glory, hawthorn heights, story of the year, all my 2000 absolute bliss of music and no live performances come close to this
I was in tears too but bc my friend Allie and I would see them every time they came to Denver or anywhere in Colorado and she took her own life 2 years ago. It's just not the same without her. I know how much she would love this. They are in the top 3 of my favorite bands ever. I could listen to this over and over and over and over and never get tired of it. Good by Allie I love and miss you more than words can convey. I hope you're finally free of the pain. I wish you had told me so we both could have face whatever comes next together.
