This song introduced me to Silverstein, who I'm now hooked on. I loved this as an acoustic song, and I think I still prefer this version, but when I found out they were post-hardcore, I got really excited. I love their music now.

for two years this song was my life. I lived with a man who abused me , and all I wanted was to leave and move back to San Diego. I am here to tell you people out there who think you can't get out that you can, just do it. rip it off like a band aid. I thought for so long I didn't have a way out, but once I just left it wasn't as bad as my anxiety said it would be.

Both versions are very emotional and I love it. Music is a form of magic that can make you feel the "magician/artists" conceived way. Instrumentals and others have power they can alter your feelings that is why composers and songwriters are amazing. I love Silverstein.

I found this song years ago on Pandora radio and loved it. At that time in my life, this song specifically helped give me the courage to leave my abusive partner of six years at the time. Silverstein saved my life for writing this I can never express how grateful I am for this 🖤.

This hits me hard right now...my 16 year old self never thought that in only a couple years my life would be like this song..breaks my heart.

This song saved me once.. i'm 19 years and live with my parents which is painful and terrifying.. living under constant fear, depression and anxiety.. i've tried to kill myself once and this song showed me an alternative option.. just to say screw it, plan extremely carefully and smart and just run away from home!!
