Introduction
In order to meet the demands for Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX users with high storage needs and fill the lack of SATA ports, SilverStone created ECS07, a hardware-based SATA 6G Non-RAID M.2 PCIe expansion card. ECS07 offers expansion of up to 5 SATA Gen3 ports, capable of reaching 1700MB/s.
Unlike the general SATA hard drive expansion cards that utilizes PCIe slot, ECS07 utilizes M.2 interface, allowing the motherboard to retain the flexibility of the PCIe slot, while maximizing the expansion capacity of the motherboard hard drive storage.

Will this work with an NVMe-only M.2 slot? Some M.2 slots support NVMe or SATA or both, but mine only works with NVMe M.2 drives.

Yes, the ECS07 actually requires the M.2 slot to be PCIe (NVMe) to function.

Does the ECS07 have one or two JMB585 controllers on board? one means the whole card is limited to a max of 2000 MB/s or 400 MB/s per port if all are maxed at the same time

@@Silverstonetech Thanks for your quick reply. Unfortunately I can't order from the US Amazon website, I'm an EU citizen and the Dutch Amazon does not have this product listed. I do not have a credit card or any other possibility to pay for it on the US website. No shops here list the product so far. Is there any idea when the product will be available here or if there's any other way to order the product? I really could use this in a future build.

@SilverStone Technology Thanks a lot for the heads up and quick communication! I'm sure a lot of people will be happy to see the products arrive soon. I came to the conclusion unfortunately I couldn't fit this type of M.2 (SATA with 2 notches) connector on a M.2 (PCI-E only with 1 notch) slot. I had to buy something else but I'll surely keep your brand & products in mind for next purchases! It would be awesome if a PCI-E variant was also produced and released for more flexible choices. I must say however out of all the available products I have seen SilverStone is the only one with a nice quality design. You as a noteworthy brand fill some gaps that many other manufacturers do not fill and the efforts are appreciated. My apologies for taking your time.

You can setup software RAID with ECS07. However, if you are looking for built-in RAID controller directly on the card, then no, we don't have one. The RAID controller chip would be too big to implement on a M.2 sized card!
