It was quite hard to represent such an introspective and personal song.
I wrote it during the darkest hour of my life, a time I hope never to relive. But if there’s anything I’ve learned, it’s that one can create beauty from pain and fear.This song is my depiction of depression, a desperate attempt to explain that even though the sun is shining outside, you can’t enjoy it anymore. At some point, you become more familiar with your own demons than with the people who love you.
But "Starless Night" is also a reminder that, when light seems nowhere to be found, you can still find it inside yourself. The lantern is nothing but a symbol: it was always there, but it’s up to you to light it and start walking again.This video is meant to represent the inner strength within each person, urging us to keep going and keep living, even when everything seems lost and our world feels like it’s collapsing, even when you feel completely lost.
And if you are going through hell, I hope this song gives you a bit of comfort, reminding you that you are not alone, that more people share this feeling than you realize. And if you don’t know where to start, just start with yourself. Light a little candle and keep going; the rest will follow. 🕯️🤍
