Young-gun Kase Pullen-Burry has cut a lot of laps on the simulator, but converting it all to a victory in a Pro-Championship event is next level!
Kase and the P-B Drift Team have shaken the D1NZ Drifting Series after winning the 2023 Pro-Sport Restricted Class and now, taking victory on debut in the Pro Championship... can he go all the way and take the 2024 title?

they must not have strict judging there. sloppy lines. honestly that 2 step rate to angle on the lead against Woolhouse should have been a dq for leading the chase driver into the dirt.

Kase, Fanga, Brodie Maher all did backies in this comp, a few others pushed the limits. Generally backies are penalised but the whole run is taken into account - depending on the criteria if you can pull it off cleanly it may not be much of a penalty at all. Its up to the criteria of each round which does change drastically - Here at Taupo for example the series is actually bound to Track limits imposed by the circuit owners, The judging team was forced to create a pretty average line. The squirmy corrections are more evident now than ever with the semi slicks on these long open fast tracks, theres little room for error if you make a mistake on these tyres. Take a look at the battles in NZ pre 2014 (videos are on our channel) when most the feild ran radials - way different comps.

In Fangas battle for example there is a small decel zone on transition, Kase may have adjusted but he was under acceleration - Fanga said himself he should of committed instead of bailing out

A good drive but definitely needs to clean up his run, off of outer zones, throwing too much angle and washing the front out with zero counter steer, coming in too hot and smashing thay lead cars door. I'm surprised he moved on through some of those battles.

90% of these dudes are so sloppy it doesn’t matter. Adam LZ isn’t even good and he could come to D1NZ and probably win 5 titles in a row before the field got good enough to compete

@@TooBadBro3921 Would love to see LZ on a fast wide NZ track... 100% all internationals would struggle here even in their own comp rig. These tracks are not like FD or whats used in Europe.

@@TooBadBro3921 bro these dudes do not have the budgets they have in the US or EU. To top it off NZ tracks are bloody sketchy as hell, they don´t get the nice resurfacing every 5-10 years. That said, I would love to see LZ come do a round of D1NZ

@@OversteerTV Utah motorsports campus is exactly what you described. Its wide fast and banked.. Very much comparable to this track. DMEC also has tracks like Drivecenter in sweden that are extremely fast and leave very little room for error. Europeans are also running a lot more grip than kiwi's because they don't have any tyre regulations. If you forced those drivers to drive on a 265 i can promise you almost none of those drivers would struggle.

@@transient442 DriftMasters run a 285 rule... the ex Vaughn Gittin chassis on a 265 performed just as good here in NZ when Fanga Dan first got it. Globally most pro drift cars are of similar level, only little differences in tech regs but primarily tyre rules. Some tyres are far more softer and grippier than others now than what first hit the market 10/15 years ago. Compound has much more impact than size 🤷 The northern hemisphere teams may have more budget in some cases, and if thats the case ship the car here and show us how its done 😄
