İ own an 8 berth gaming carvan hooked up to my 2022 mercedes gls 580, and inside the caravan i have a sim racing stand with cammus c5 and portable 27 inch tripple monitor and an oculus quest 3, overall i love the setup, i do intend to post a video of it on RU-vid
After watching your first SIM racing vid I decided to try it out... I found a second hand off brand wheel for like 25 USD and got Assetto Corsa, half the time I just fly into a wall and go out of control. But I might consider upgrading even though I'm shit, Moza R5? Or SLC DD?
I personally prefer moza. Their software is more beginner friendly I've never had an issue with stuff being on backorder which happens alot with a lot of other brands
If you have spare parts in your place you should totally get in contact with that guy that bought the 12 year old cpu with the 1070 and help him out.. Poor guy said he used his VA BENEFITS.
You sound like me my sister says I'm hyper focused! I had ADD bad in grammer/high school ive grew out of the worst of it except hyper focusing. once I latch onto something watch out I'm going to learn everything I possibly can.
screw it i'm writing an essay for some tips. first of all, the moza r5 will be good for now. the first piece of gear to get would be load cell pedals - they're better for braking because they measure the pedal pressure instead of distance, so better muscle memory. next maybe get a full cockpit. immersion will improve tenfold - same with something like triple monitors. then consider other wheel rims, depending on what cars you like to drive. maybe have a poke at other accesories like shifters, handbrakes, button boxes, etc. on the software side, here's my sim recs. you already have assetto corsa which is great - if you want good multiplayer try the third-party LFM service, which also does stuff for ACC, assetto's GT3 sequel. the best multiplayer experience is fs iracing though, and it's also generally labelled the best sim for physics too. essay over. i think.
