It's obvious you know a lot about mappings from Spad.Next to the CJ4 mod and other aircraft. Not sure if you're familiar with Virpil devices but they have a lot of devices that have RGB-LED buttons and across 3 of their devices there are 28 of them, which are really just backlit LED's behind the buttons as opposed to functional LEDs programmed for a purpose during pushing of the buttons. There is VPC (Virpil) control software that simply allows the lights to be changed to different colors and remembered - again, just as backlighting. I'm wondering if SPad.Next, Joystick Gremlin, &/OR VJOY or some combination therein would allow the tinkering of these pushbutton LEDs to be much more functional. For example, have a button LED display when there is a Master-Caution or Master Warning by illuminating and it would either be amber or red depending on the condition, and then it could be cleared with the push of the LED button and simply go dark. Or the button would change from one color to another when depressed. I have a message into Spad.Next about it (but i don't think are doing any development for Virpil products) but then I saw your video in a discord thread in Working Title, thus here I am.
I have no control over the development they do. If I did I would have a couple of other devices I own working :). I recommend that you look at raising the subject of Virpil support with a thread. Also the better way is to contact virpil and see about getting them to share or open an API that they can give to SPAD.NeXT just like go flight did.
Always easier to get the support of the vendor of the hardware will share the Interface information. Reverse engineering the interface is time consuming.... and in Virpils case how you talk to the joystick should not be a “trade secret” like some think at other vendors....
Don't know... I don't actually watch frames... I am well above 30FPS using UHD main Monitor... and I do put PFDs and MFDs into extra screens... So the experience is smooth. I guess at some point I will have to throw up a counter to have a look..
Great work mate, as always 👏 is there a way to monitor Hvars with Xpad? Can't find a rotary knob for map zooming on the Citation Longitude using Lvar events monitor 😐 much thanks for any insights about it Cheers
Nope. You can’t monitor them as JS/HTML events don’t work like K Events. You have to know them. You want the AS3000_TSC_Vertical events. You will find the _1 through _4 and 1 is left side Pilot 2 is left middle 3 is right middle and 4 is conpilot right side. The joystick is the control and the inc dec is used.
