Mr. Cowell, before the first ever airing of Season 1 of American Idol I along with others had never heard of you. Then we met you when you, Randy, and Paula hit the town on American Idol. Honestly I can say with 100% truth that I sat there watching these contestants walk in smiling...some of them exiting jumping up and down happy happy happy ... "I did it !!!!! " Their families encircling them with hugs, tears of joy...aaawww it was so beautiful to see that. Then there were the ones who entered the audition room to prove that they had what it takes to be the next American Idol. The TV viewers got to see a little bit more inside the lives of these self proclaimed superstars thanks to editing, and these contestants really, truly, believe in themselves. Then...the moment of truth....the precise second that the judges and the world realize that although everyone has a talent...singing isn't theirs. The judges vote. Randy tells them "maybe you're not cut out to be a singer but thank you for auditioning", Paula smiles and you can tell she doesn't want to hurt anyones feelings so she just ever so quietly says "it's a no for me. I'm sorry", and then Simon " I really truly believe that you should call your voice coach and get a refund." AND BOOM !!! Just like that ...the world meets Simon Cowell. Over the years though I really have to admit that you have eased up, seem a little less cruel, and when Josh sung Jealous by Labyrinth that he dedicated to his best friend who was killed in a car accident, for the first time I, along with countless others, saw you cry, then we said "he has a heart." BUT kryptonite makes Superman weak and powerless but he's still human. Mr. Cowell I believe I have discovered your kryptonite...and it's @ 2:24. Best wishes to you and your beautiful family.
Thank God, someone came into Simon's life that turned him around and gave him some tenderness, and kindness. He did have it hard for many many years but finally he succeeded and showed his family. He has a loving, beautiful wife and sweet son he adores. Too bad he did though have to loose a good friend and cheat with his friends wife, behind his back, but his friend didn't seem to have a happy marriage anyway. I'm glad he is finally so happy and has such a wonderful happy glowing new family. A baby always seems to make things right. Good luck Simon and maybe you and your old friend can make amends one day.
