He has said on several occasions that he needs to improve in many areas. Having said that, I think people don't notice the passes that he does make when he has the opportunity to do so. It’s a pointless argument. The best players win games. The only way to win games is to score goals, which he does every single game. Therefore he’s absolutely world class and a fantastic player. Doesn’t matter if you dribble past all 11 players to score or tap in from 6 yards. Both count the same.

At Molde - early in his career - Haaland was still developing physically, adding a lot og muscle and strength. Once that development was nearing completion (towards the end of his time there) he really started scoring at a high frequency.

EH plays as a 9 and has mastered that role. His intelligent movement/timing/speed of goalscoring runs, and awareness combined with finishing, power and pace is what separates him. No other 9 comes close in the attacking 1/3

Haaland has improved this season a lot. But I don't really think he really cares about dropping deep and pinging crosses. Or going past players. A very unique player, indeed.
First off, he’s 23. Very few players if any are the complete article at that point. He’s showing he’s actually never seen Haaland play outside a city kit. He has shown many times the ability to drop deep, link up play, he’s simply not asked to for city. Probably because pep wants to keep him healthy. But his link up play is comparable to a creative midfielder in the Bundesliga at times. And even if we assume he isn’t…who cares…he’s the greatest goalscorer the prem has seen and it’s frankly not close. Even if he is flawed, Aguero played on a more talented City team and his greatest ever season, he didn’t have the same amount of goals as Haaland’s down year last year. He’s unambiguously the best goalscorer, no one is close. If his name was Jack Smith and he was raised in Hackney, they’d call him the best in the world and the second coming of R9.

He's not going to drag an average team to win a league or CL because he's not influential in the game. I watched Benzema drag Madrid to a CL as a striker. Halaand ain't ever doing that. His performance against the biggest teams and best defenders is proof he's limited.
