I miss the original MTV with the VJ's! Thank you for sharing this interview! :) I always thought it was so cool when the VJs interviewed the bands, and invited them to also introduce music videos. That was what made MTV really fun to watch at that time.
RANDY JUDAH TALK" I really enjoyed the band Arcadia I particularly like this interview it was so enjoyable and the guys seem so carefree and relaxed and having so much fun I really enjoy the music of Arcadia it was melodic dark interesting to say the least very artistic thanks for the great songs and music and sounds and the inspiration Simon and Nick and Roger.....!
*Loved this interview!* Arcadia was the more interesting cerebral side to Duran Duran… the music took cues from Electro and Musique Concrete. Still a great album! Have always wished they would do a sequal… if that's possible. There are some Duran songs that would fit the mold. "Winter Marches On", "Still Breathing" etc.
I MHO I believe Arcadia was the last real DD album. Nick’s keyboard sound used to be right up front. After that, beginning with Notorious, all synthesizer is burred somewhere in the mix.
I always wondered if the teen fan base from just one year before had moved on. Duran mania was in full force the year prior in 1984 with that massive tour. Did the teen fans like the album So Red the Rose?. My favorite album next to Liberty.
