This is one of the worst Simon & Simon episodes, due to the antichrist-ian immorality. Stating this due to the ill treatment to the treatment of the character "uncle Ray," of whom they tear to the ground, and treat like he is a loser, because he is not successful, and obviously not intelligent enough to climb to the top. It is indicative of the demand for perfection, coupled with intense pressure to perform, be highly successful, and 'meet up,' to their outlandishly high standards of materialism. This episode shows an underlying world view of the writers, that does not show in other episodes. Though the character of uncle Joe seems to receive defense from Rick, the 'running down,' his behavior, character, and worth as a human life, done by AJ and his mother, is painted as to be the accurate view, as the episode plays out. My view is not just one of defending said "under-dog," nor of class warfare, but one of a true Biblical viewpoint.
