I've watched many interviews of Simon Sinek and this interviewer asked some pretty unique questions that really caused Simon to think and consider. I didn't find the interviewer as annoying as some others commenting here. I enjoyed watching Simon answer the unique questions, you can see that he's really engaged with the interviewer.
Christine Clifton same!! For me this was awesome to see new details of Simon. Not even focused on the interviewer, however he dug well and got Simon talking!
This interviewer is killing it-questions he asked, reactions he gave, preparation that went into this conversation for it to goes this smoothly. You all crazy
Simon didn't teach me what to think, he taught me how to think and why that's important. He gave me the tools necessary to find my purpose and for that I am eternally grateful
It only took me 43 years to learn that the difference between those that became SUCCESSFUL, and those who didn't, was their ability to HOLD ON and PERSIST in the face of less than desireable, often bleak, circumstances and/or environments. Just. Hold. On.
A great interviewer asks thought provoking questions and lets the interviewee answer in a conventional manner. This interviewer did that. Until you’ve found a way to interview people of status, and done it, you’re opinion doesn’t matter. It’s an art that is learned by doing. I have been interviewed by terrible interviewers with the same boring question and constant interrupts and fantastic interviewers with great and original questions. I have also been able to interview a world renown figure, so I am not speaking from a lack of experience here. This was a great interview for the transparency of both involved, period!
I love his humility, honesty, passion, clarity and insight. Always taken in when i listen to one of his talks. Seems to strike the right chord s each time. Thanks for sharing and i hope Simon keeps doing whatever he is doing.
Simon makes me so happy to just look at him. Living a life in struggle resulting in chronic depression has been so hard physically on my body, and listening to Simon speak is so mind-blowingly relieving
Simon is known for the "why" of any business. If we just know the "why" of our lives, we know why we are here on this earth, the whole purpose of our lives and can accomplish or work on it, depression will disappear. Stay happy Rebecca!
Because of you Simon...I'm changing to the best. ..You changing our life to better life ..God bless you & give you all the best & happiness. Keep doing.🙏🙏
I’m bad at listening to native speakers’s talk. Setting speed at x0.75 and it works for me. Thanks for RU-vid, thanks for all the good thing people have worked here. Wrap up a good lesson: to learn to say I don’t know, I don’t understand or I need help
I just love Simon's passion for helping people.. I've shared his vision my whole life and just never been able to articulate it . There are millions of Simons. We believe what he believes.. We just can't articulate it like he can.. Not yet anyways. I listen to him 7days a week.. Trying to apply this at my job.. It's up to me to carry his torch in New Albany,Indiana.. God give me the strength to reach these peoples hearts.. Somewhere in life they lost themselves and started caring more about money than the people who generate it with them.. There is no way to measure most of these concepts on paper. Which is what they expect in upper management. I have faith that I will figure out how to get them to believe in ME enough to give me the space and tools I'll need to apply this theory in my workplace. 3PL Contractors.. Where the first sign in the parking lot says "Alpha Zone only".. Wish me luck because these are great people who just need guidance I can feel it!!!
I love that your success humbles you! Many would be puffed up jerks when they get “big” and you, Simon, are humbled by it. Wow. That is a great human being.❤
He’s very motivating, however not everyone can be a success, or millionaires etc. the world needs dishwashers, bus boys, ditch diggers etc. just saying.
This only grew my respect towards this great man. He genuinely tested what he preaches and he's brutally honest unlike many other speakers who say sh** to be liked and for followers.
In every single position, especially management, I ever held to include working with depressed clients, I 100% insisted on a positive work environment. It takes you to places in your imagination that you are able to achieve in your reality. Your optimism is such a wonderful contribution to the globe.
What an awesome interview Inc. conducted! This is essentially Simon's backstory and his journey from a marketing agency owner to the journey Simon took discovering his own "Why?" and the evolution of "The Golden Circle". How refreshing to see Simon's down to earth spirit ("this was more evolutionary than revolutionary" as Simon tells his story.).
Many people are complaining about the interviewer being annoying. I think one possible reason for that complain could be the mic level is much higher on the interviewer and whenever he makes a sound, it appears to be much more apparent. On the other hand, Simon's voice sounds very relax. This comparison creates this imbalanced "talk". In any case, a great interview! I like how the interviewer articulates his questions and that makes the interview very intersting to listen.
Great video content! Excuse me for butting in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you considered - Biyiam Biyameron Solution (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is a great one off guide for learning how to easily get the success of your life of your dreams minus the normal expense. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my mate at very last got astronomical success with it.
Not entirely sure why everyone is talking trash about the interviewer, he asked great questions and was genuinely interested, if not ecstatic, to talk to Simon. I genuinely enjoyed the flow of the interview and thought he did a great job. Thanks for the upload.
Simon Sinek is first and foremost, an AMAZING communicator... it's one thing to have a good message, yet another set of skills to communicate that message effectively, and Simon just knocks it out of the park every single time. As for the interviewer, I didn't find him annoying, though, I do agree, he is quite intense, but I think, more than anything, his enthusiasm is coming from his great admiration for this person he is talking to, and if you all can imagine being given a chance to have a conversation with someone you admire so much, you'd probably be really intense too! I know, I would! Especially when I realize this might be the only time I will ever have this opportunity to sit and talk with this incredible person! I don't know, I just think the interview is just like all of us, #fangirling over our favorite artist.
I actually appreciate the interviewer. He may be a little energetic but his questions are on point. It is obvious that he was truly listening to Simons answers.
Wow! The humbleness of Simon Sinek is really, well, humbling. I think it is very very uncommon to find someone in his position with the success and exposure he is gaining and expressing such humble and honest comments about himself. Wow! Very admirable.
Simon, crazy love seeing you and hearing you on interviews. Keep doing it even if the other site is a bit much...Big thanks for your raw honesty on everything your work says. Minute 14...ohhhhh All the best
(things went silly)........ the first person I heard calling "views" silly, this is how you know he doesn't care about the attention but the message. hands down genius
Learning and putting it to work is the key to success. I keep learning because I want to become successful in business and be a successful politician one day.
Great interview, great questions and a lof of inspiration from Simon. I love to hear about other people who do what they love and know their why :) it brings lots of joy
What we do is not so important than why you do it.That 'why' is what inspires us to do our work which can add more value to people's lives.Being a teacher, it is completely awesome to wake up and figure out cool ways to do my job in a more interesting way. That joy on my students face drives me to do more , that's my "Why"
I personally find the interviewer’s enthusiasm endearing. He’s young, surely has his own dreams, and he’s getting to ask the details behind the personal journey of a really great teacher we all admire. Who wouldn’t be excited by that?
Love to listen to your speech and after listen to this interview I realise why I enjoy and motivated by you, because you keep it real and honest. Thank you for share your thoughts and experiences….. I needed … and grateful that I found you ! Xx
He's my favorite author and also mentor. I've learnt a lot from his talks and books and I'm so grateful to have a chance to learn as much as I can from his greatest contributions. 😊
For some reason, hearing Simon's why just made the last piece of my why click in place. I thought it was one of two things, but it was actually one that fed into the other: I thought it was either the pursuit of novel knowledge or the aim to help and inspire those around me. I now realize I think it's actually the pursuit of novel knowledge so that I can share it, and to help and inspire those around me.
The earth is beautifully created by our creator no matter how things turned out when I look up to the sky it takes my breath away. I am an eternal optimistic, blessings to you all.
Simon is brilliant. Fact. However, for this interview all credit goes to the interviewer who, despite a maybe over enthusiastic style, asked all the right questions about things we want to know about this star speaker and are not already public about him. Like, for example, the inner process that led him to this celebrity career, the path, the challenges, the weaknesses. We wanted to know if Simon is human after all or not and he answered "yes" because he was asked the right questions. To the interviewer: Congrats for asking smart questions and not falling into the trap of asking expected boring stuff. You can turn maybe the knob of enthusiasm volume a bit to the left next time, but well done!
Forget the corporate world. This guy is a fucking life guru. His way of thinking can help in any world- family, friends, community, and of course corporate where there is the most fakeness, selfishness, and know it all ness. Amazing thinker and inspirer to those that have not yet reached his level of consciousness
Solution Advocate!!! Love your history and candor, Your WHY is truly an encouraging incentive for many of us to focus on what comes naturally, once there has been education. Thank you
"I never set myself on this course to be a public speaker it's not really a chosen profession you know if I never give another speech again I'd be fine with that I do it because I believe in the message and I think it's important to go and preach that message."
I love this kind of interview. There are lots of feelings going on here. And the ethusiasm that the interviewer had, makes it felt more realistic. I don't really like when someone is being "formal". But still, we have to do it once in while so... Yeah.
