I'm going to make this very clear. I never said u HAVE to have the same skincare routine. I'm literally posting posting this because he and I have the same routine.
@@gad8203 none of the products used in the video is benzoyl peroxide (which fights acne) so I would say no. Tho cleansing your face (keeps your back clean.) and moisturising your face (which helps the skin barrier ) might reduce it
@@gad8203 having a cleanser and a moisturiser is good but also have sunscreen ( to protect from sun damage and skin cancer even if you want tan you still must use sunscreen. ) also just maybe wonder around the internet or stores for products that have benzol peroxide or just benzol peroxide. ( also whatever skin care you have always include a cleanser, moisturiser, and sunscreen. No matter what you skin type is and your skin problems are. )
I agree with all the comments here; those products mentioned don't have active ingredients to clear up acne but yes those are great for repairing or protecting your skin barrier.
I don’t think people understood his message. He never said this cured his acne or that these products would cure your acne. He said when his skin was at his worst this helped repair his skin barrier rather than further damaging it by applying loads of different products. When my acne got bad I brought serums, chemical exfoliants and toners but it just made it worse. When I saw this video I simplified my routine to just a cleanser, a moisturiser and an spf. It was super affordable and rebuilt my skin barrier which didn’t cure but calmed my acne a lot. I then rebuilt my routine and my acne stopped flaring up. Of course this alone will not help all types of acne as it often requires medication or lifestyle changes but it’s definitely something worth trying. He did say at the end of the video give it a try, hes not guaranteeing anything.
He literally showed his skin with acne and then shows his skin looking clear, and then proceeds to tell the products he used for his skin to look clear. Let’s have common sense, u don’t have to explicitly say something to make a point…
I've been working on my skin care for 4 years and discovered some methods that really help my facial skin appear great: 1. Drink plenty of water. 2. Put fresh Aloe Vera gel on your face prior to bed. 3. Wash your facial skin with normal water and use litllextra riiceberry face wash wich contains black rice water and use it twice a day. 4. Drink bitter gourd and lauki juice to cleanse the body. 5. Lastly, stay happy! Your skin looks better when you are happy inside.
I like this RiceBerry facial cleanser for my oil-prone skin. It is not irritating for my skin. I also use it in my double cleansing method in my PM routine.
y’all listen to me! i used only these two and my acne has almost gone away i used to buy expensive skin care they made my acne worse. he’s right skin barrier is literally so important.
Have nutritious food and have sufficient water. This aids all skin types to shine. Do keep in mind these throughout your day. Celebs often discuss about having at least 8 glasses of water each day for healthy skin. It's a thing you can rely on. Keep your face clear from dust and pollution. I understand it's not easy, but one have to try. Clean the face with plain water first, then use some gentle face wash twice a day, in your morning and night. Also, rinse your face with water whenever you go out in your sun. Use only gentle face wash like litlextra riceberry face wash. Regularly wear sunscreen when one venture outdoors. It's essential. Keep active. Take walks regularly. These are my tips for glowing skin, founded on my experience. I hope they help you attain gorgeous, glowing skin that everyone admires!
Really like the riiceberry face wash; it really makes the skin smooth. After using this, the skin will not feel dry. This has so quickly become my favourite face wash. I've been applying this for approx 26 days now. It is suitable for all skin types.
Cetaphil products are really good for acne. The first time I went to my dermatologist, they prescribed me to get the foam cleanser. It did help. But this type of products won’t help your skin on the long run. It’s great for teenagers but not anyone who constantly suffers from breakouts due to hormonal problems or other stuff. You need medication and stronger products. But for a starter, they’re good.
@@ted772 yes. If you find that your acne gets worse, or if you start to sweat more, switch to the foam cleaner version of it. but always moisturize. Because you can break out from over stripping your skin. And the most important thing is to use sunscreen. Just trust me on this. You will thank yourself when you get older.
@@harundaniel7705 Ok thank you for this. But I dont think this cleanser is very stripping at all to be honest. But yeah surely the foam ones would be more stripping but i dont intend on using those hopefully!
I have hormonal acne like 1 or 2 in once a month, and its stressful, I have been using hyaluronic acid for face wash, serum and moist, for spf is contain niacin and SA, but still these damn acnes always coming every once a month
Says the influencer notorious for using filters on his pics and videos *James Welsh featured him already on his past video* If you're acne prone though this won't help with the problem at all. You can do this routine when your skin is a bit irritated from all the chemical exfoliants or accutane. You still need chemical exfoliants people, trust me.
@@elcidabiera9751 but I use to have acne than him and I use the same product and I could tell the change it been 5 month now i don’t have acne that much sorry for my English
See loves he is right this routine will help you for a damaged disruptive skin barrier but for PIH you need to use actives as cetaphil alone isn't capable of removing neither pigmentation nor scars and keep in mind it is gonna take time skincare is no witchcraft. All the best and stay hydrated 🌻
@Zabdiel Isaiah Maynes nit really I use cervea and it stings my face Cervea has more ingredients for combination oily skin Cetaphil gentle cleanser works better for skin broken barrier and damaged skin...it's used by doctors on patients who skin needs moisture Cervea works better for skin who has alot of pimples ND oils and need heavier
I use gentle one and it doesn't help me so I use something stronger for acne and its helping me. Remember that it takes time and patience. I use to buy skincare products just because its popular and I didn't even realize that my skin doesn't want that for my acne. Buy what you need, not base on society. The products doesn't have to look pretty and luxurious. Just buy what is needed.
The most affordable clean and kind skincare brand for sensitive skin is “simple”- best thing ever … their facewash and protecting light moisturizer (with spf ) is all what u need to get clear skin
I struggled with acne half of my life, I'm 20 now. I used all sorts of active ingredients and literally on God, everything in the market. I started using the Cetaphil gentle cleanser about 6 months ago, and the acne prone moisturizer from Cetaphil (the one with spf, not the one the guy showed) it cleared my acne within 4 months, I no longer have any active breakout, except 3 or 2 pimples when going on my periods. It cleared all my acne, literally all, however I am brown skinned, I'm left with dark marks, and Alot of them because I have been struggling with acne for a long time. The Cetaphil didn't help with clearing the acne scars but it for real helped with the acne. He did not lie about sticking to a simple routine!! Edit, don't mind the bad grammar....
It’s all about what you eat in your diet I’ve completely stopped eating dairy and eggs my skin has improved a lot!! It looked like the before pictures in this video now it’s so clear I really really recommend cutting those things out your diet :)
Skincare routine isn’t helping your skin if you not taking care of your eating habits. Everything starts with a good diet and healthy lifestyle. Once your diet is balance, you will notice slightly change on your body and skin. Its not like magic, pufff! And you will be beautiful. It will take times, but trust me. It works, and cethaphil product isn’t that affordable.
Please don't listen to this advice at all. You need to go to the dermatologist if you have moderate or severe acne. This simple routine can only be used if your skin is irritated by certain skincare products. Also, most dermatologists will prescribe benzoyl peroxide, tretinoin (which is 20 times more potent than retinol) and isotretinoin (accutane) to you if you have acne. These treatments are very irritating to the skin, but that doesn't mean they'll make your acne worse. In fact, they're the most researched treatments for acne and are considered very effective. I used to treat my acne with Benzoyl Peroxide, and i still do for maintenance. It works!
@@KingKikikoi i know. I was talking about him telling us not to use retinol and vitamin c when our skin barrier is compromised. Having acne doesn't mean your skin barrier is compromised. They are 2 different things. Sticking to this routine won't treat your acne, but since the products that are mentioned are gentle, they can be used alongside acne treatments, which is why many derms recommend us to use these products alongside tretinoin, accutane, etc.
As an esthetician, you’re absolutely right! It’s important to know what’s going on with the skin to have the best treatment for the current skin issues. His routine is simply to restore/maintain skin barrier and not to help with skin issues. That alone will definitely not help. Always go to a professional!
My acne started with the Cetaphil moisturizer ,so turns out that I actually have acne prone skin and started reading the ingredients of every product I own so most of them have dimethicone
I agree simple skin care routine is better for your definitely better for your skin!!! I actually did the same and i also use cetaphil, very very good product
Does this routine help people with dry skin? I have never had acne problem but being very dry my skin is very sensitive n prone to rash and white spots.
As someone that suffer so much acne for two years now i tried cetaphil gentle cleanser and moisturizer the new formulation i stopped every actives i used and now just cetaphil and sunscreen and my skin is getting better everyday 😍 give it a try i have pcos and acne and me are almost kinda besties now but seems like they about to say bye hahaha
Went to a dermatologist about a year now and she recommended me this, it removed most of my acne but whenever I don't use it even for a day my pimples act up
My skin had been breaking out really bad lately and I struggled to find the right cleanser for me. I thought I needed something strong the like ABC tea tree oil cleanser and the Neutrogena fresh and clear grapefruit cleanser), both cleansers worked well on my T zone area (nose and forehead) where it’s mostly oily, but it really really dried out my cheeks which turned out to be a big no no because that only made my acne even worse. I decided to double cleanse with the cetaphil gentle cleanser and use the hydrating lotion at night and it really helped me. I still occasionally use the neutrogena cleanser ONLY on my T zone area if it gets super oily and if there are black heads. Other that than I’m glad i watched this dude’s video. Wether it’s just an ad or not. Sometimes simple is better.
I was so excited I bought the gentle cleanser and the moisturizer. Sadly my skin had a bad reaction to the moisturizer at least my sister came up on a free moisturizer haha
Cetaphil is a great brand that works well for a lot of people, but as someone with dry, sensitive skin I tend to lean more towards CeraVe’s hydrating cleanser and super hydrating moisturizers. I used to really overstrip my skin with high concentrations of benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid twice a day because I thought doing so would fight acne. I now focus more on my moisture barrier and hydration, the complete opposite of what I used to do and my skin is thanking me.
1 min silence for those who thinks this is real! Now listen to my pov people! I've been through this phase where your face gets covered in Acne and this happen to every single person, no matter how amazing the products are BUT we still need a proper medication for this! Understand that 🙂
You are 1000% correct, my skin looked like his at the beginning of 2021 and (Thank God) the acne has subsided fully due to oral and topical medications but I’m still left with the post inflammatory red marks and those take months if not years to go away. One of the worst mistakes I think people make is once the initial acne goes away, they stop the routine they used to get rid of it.
May I also ask, why does he not wash it with water? Sorry I'm new and still confused with skin care routine, I only wash with water and done but I want to invest so that I can still maintain my good skin. So now, my question again is why do I see some people use soap bar then cleanser then exfoliant(?) Then wash then moisturizer. I also see some who usesoap bart hen cleanser then exfoliant then moisturizer without washing? Im confused. Also is master deep cleanser really a CLEANSER or a TONER? Kinda confused. Thank you
@@tracesofthesunjingab first of all, it's important to wash your face after using one product, before using another, no matter what kinda product it is, secondly every person has different skin type, in my case I simply wash my face with regular water, with a face wash which suits my skin and then then apply moisturizer that's it, in case of Makeup, we must use a deep cleanser first and then wash your face and apply moisturizer, tbh I think that's enough for a healthy skin
This is an amazing cleanser! i have very very dry skin, i went to the doctors and they recommended me this cleanser. my skin has been acne free ever since!, i definitely recommend this.
This guy literally got exposed by James Welsh for using skin filters and this lighting makes anyone’s skin look 10x better. If you want advice, get it from a derma. Btw cetaphil costs $50 where I live soooo 🤷🏽♀️
This is really good if your skin barrier is damaged you really want something that repairing ingredient don’t go in with ingredients like salacylic acid when your skin is super angry it will make it worse be gentle and do your research the first aid beauty repair cream is idea
Well, in my experience Cethapil can removed blackheads with consistent use. I was surprised when my blackheads was all gone after a couple of months using it day and night. It was unexpected for me because I just want a gentle cleanser for my dry skin.
Oh yeah i get what he's saying, when my skin started acting up i used a lot of products but it made it worse. Then i just stopped completely and let it do whatever. That kind of calmed it down. Didn't cure it but calmed it down and now i can use products without breaking out.
Ok this is my update i used cetaphil for about 2 months , the small bottle lasts about a month and a week so in total i buyed 2 for those 2 months . I have an Oily skin and a pimple forms in my face like afters 2 days that's how prone i am to pimples . I say that this helps to keep my face somehow feels smooth and bouncy . It even brightened my face . Everytime i used this i feel like my face is fresh . Let me say this kinda work for the first 2 weeks but its INCONSISTENT . My pimples started to comeback often on week 3 and its sad . I really thought this is the answer but yet its still aint . This is probably just a face cleanser and brightener not a product to mostly wipe out all your pimples . I still use mine today but im planning to buy cerave when i empty this bottle i REALLY HOPE CERAVE WORKS . This is maybe cringe for you buy acne ruin my life ever since 1st year of highschool up until now im on 11th grade .
I use basically the same products, it CeraVe…is this brand better? What do y’all thing cause I’ve always heard CerVe is one of the best drugstore brands
Yepp that's true! At the beginning, I started using cetaphil products and then I moved to Avene for more better results. Cetaphil products actually works. Go for it but before consult ur dermat.
I usually just gently rub it on my skin and then wash it off, but one time I tried wiping it off instead of washing it off. I stopped and let it sit there for about 5 seconds and then wiped it off. After that my skin straight away started getting itchy and when I looked in the mirror my skin was irritated and red. this doesn’t usually happen to me but I took some antihistamines and it reduced the redness, and later on it stopped being so puffy, red, and itchy. I usually just go back to washing it off but I don’t wipe it off anymore
I've tried numerous face washes, but none was as effective as little extra riceberry face wash. It's made with black-rice and white mulberry, which brighten and gives an instant glow to my skin. It's mild, smells nice, and all-natural. It cleans my face nicely and makes it soft and bright. Plus, it helped lessen my acne as welll.
