So Simple in clean forward is Sora's feelings for Kairi, but backward it's Riku being seduced by Darkness. Sanctuary forward is about Roxas sleeping in Sora to become whole. while Backward it's about Riku regretting he let the Darkness take him? Hmmm intresting, so both songs forward are about Sora's love and backwards Riku's journey to except Sora's friendship. man, with my buddy going to prison...Kingdom Hearts is hitting me more and more. I love the English, Japanese, and reversed version of Simple and Clean and Sanctuary. I never knew I could enjoy songs in so many different versions lol
Simple and Clean was written for Kingdom Hearts 1, and yet when reversed, it seems like it talks about events that won't happen until Chain of Memories or even Birth By Sleep! That is freaking mind blowing!!!
A ten year old hero. Not literally a hero who's 10 years old, but a hero from 10 years past. Terra, who performed the ritual on Riku 10 years prior. Wow.
If I'm correct, this song- reversed, at least- tells the story of Riku. Judging by the start, 'Help me discard this bond' must mean something along the lines of him not wanting to be close to Sora and Kairi due to him turning to darkness, and the other lines consisting of 'sweet love' and '10 year old hero', mostly likely center towards Kairi (Seeing as one could easily tell that both Riku and Sora both have feelings for her), and Sora (As him being ten years old in the first game makes sense. Then, we move on to this 'Room'... Obviously, even the video states this well.. They're talking of Namine, and how each and every one of Sora's adventure's seem to be drawn, and placed on the wall. And it makes even more sense when it says 'Suddenly it's a real planet'. There are the other lyrics, which I'd be more than happy to dissect, but... I'd rather not make this longer than it already is. Though, if anyone wants me to try my hand at one...
Well, let's see... The next lyric that caught my interest was "Yeah see where Riku walks moving, He won't stop moving now". I believe that has something to do with KH 2, in that he ended up trying to stay one step ahead of Sora in order to help him. "Wasn't he in the Darkness?" It's quite obvious that this has something to deal with Riku being forced to stay beyond the door to the Realm of Darkness, of course. "Oh course, he is evil"... KH 1 has a lot to tie in with this. This is because he Is considered evil in that game (At least, by most. I personally think he was just desperate, and was manipulated). "I always thought I had your natural talent" Ohhh, don't tell me you don't get this one. This one has more emphasis towards the Keyblade than Riku, but it does tie in with his story. You see, In the games, it mentions that Riku was actually the first chosen to wield the Keyblade, but since he allowed darkness into him, it moved down the list. Then, after that, Sora was given it. "Is it hard to be him?" Well... This is a question worth answering: Yes. I mean, think about it. He not only was manipulated, and hates himself because of the shit he's done, but now, because of this, he fights a constant battle against Ansem... However, instead of a battle of body, it's a battle of the mind. Something he's never really done yet. "See it really is them". This might actually be a though Riku had... Perhaps he was surprised to run into Kairi and Sora? "Oh he miss back home" This is almost a universal lyric, as Riku and Sora haven't been back on Destiny Islands in... Years, most likely. By the start of KH 2, Riku is extremely homesick, more so than Sora (As he was asleep most of the time). ... And that's all I really got.
Wow, haha. I love this song...introduced me to Hikki and all her magical music. Her music is so good it even makes sense backwards. She did make parts of Passion backward.
It would made more sense if "ten year old who will send ya a hero" was "ten years ago who will send ya a hero" because Sora was the hero and also Riku and Kairi, successor of Ven, Aqua and Terra because they were lost so Sora, Riku and Kairi can finish their (Wayfabder trio's) job.

Am I the only one who thinks this isn't the lyrics for it being reversed and/or this is just a coincidence it sounds like this? The lyrics don't add up and the uploaded could've supplemented the sound with the words. I really don't think Nomura or Hikari meant it to sound like this if this is the lyrics and people are reading too much into it.
It's so weird, it actually sounds like it's talking about Riku. Sanctuary does this, too... It also sounds like it's releasing crap tons of spoilers. This song was used in the first game. So, if it's listened to backwards, the audience would get mixed feelings and think about Riku, but also find a deeper meaning to it.

How I read these lyrics: Help me escape fun. All I need is utter sweet love. 10 year old will send ya a hero. What if, what if, endlessly. In room, suddenly it's a real planet oh. Hug it and let's go. Stay, stay and sleep. Feel it moving every night. Wasn't he the devil? Miss. Of course, he is evil. See. Yeah see where he was moving. He won't call me anymore. The rest seems like gibberish to me though. Only remember the chorus being translated back when the song was first reversed.
4:32 through 4:44 (and obviously the other parts of the song that says these lines) is the best part of the song. It sounds like someone actually singing and it sounds nice too.
Actually it happens after KH2 because riku was hanging around Org. XIII in between KH1 and 2, I understand the confusion because they all look younger in dream drop distance but thats because they are in a dream world and yen sid has made them younger to help them correctly hone their keyblade abilities.
Maybe the story is actually more about Rikus journey, we only see the outside of it, seems like the inside looking out is Rikus inner struggle, between good and evil. Remember it didn't take much for him to go dark.
