SWIPE THESE WORDS FOR BREAKFAST TIME
Here are some simple phrases to use over the breakfast table. Simple things like "pass it to me", "here you go" (when passing something to someone" and "finished/are you finished?".
We also touch on the difference between "te" and "ngā"; te being singular and ngā being plural. E.g.
Te pune - the spoon
Ngā pune - the spoons
Homai - pass it to me
Anei - here you go
Kua mutu - finished
Kua mutu? - finished? (are you finished?)
Homai te pata - pass me the butter
Homai te miraka - pass me the milk
Homai ngā pune - pass me the spoons
And here are some things that you might pass across the table at breakfast (sorry my big head cuts some of these out in the video!)
Miraka - milk
Tōhi - toast
Parāoa - bread
Pune - spoon
Kapu - cup
Pereti - plate
Inu - drink
Hēki - egg
