This was very helpful. I didn't realise before purchase that machine did not put in appropriate amount of water and you have to time it yourself which is a bit of a drag. So it was good to see how you did it; also did not know what lines on pod meant so thanks for that

Are there cleaning instructions for when you first open it up? I know you can clean the parts that comes off but what about the dripper?

I have this machine you can buy reusable pods which I have all I do is put the coffee I like and 1 cup of water good to go if you want milk just get coffee mate great cappuccino and latte fantastic little machine

Yes, the machine does vibration when the internal pump activates. It’s mild though.

The pods usually take around 200ml to 230ml of water so it’s easier to use that size of cup I would think. Either that or note the fill level when measured correctly.

This was bought on Amazon UK site will the voltage change in the US affect performance

Are you stepping the voltage up from 110v to 230v via a transformer? I think this could affect performance unfortunately.

UK voltage us 240 so with a universal connector that drops it the 10. Any way did some trouble shooting and wiggled little pin for clearing jet and it worked !!!

Hi! Thank you so much for this video I would love to hear your input, me and my classmates are considering this as a gift option for our teachers at school (for teacher's day) Is this worth it? I am quite confused as the reviews I have found differs significantly for this spesific machine (piccolo) Some say it is not good coffee (it's a bit too bland) Some say that the fact that it is not automatic is too tedious so it's not worth to buy Some say it is good enough and the coffee tastes amazing And because of that I am quite lost, should I buy this one, the Mini-me machine, or not buy dolce gusto all together (another brand) lmao😂 Sorry for bothering you, this video is alreafy quite helpful

Don't be sorry. Happy to answer. I'm not a fussy coffee drinker so I thought the taste here was great. People who are really into their coffee though may disagree. Sure an auto feature would be nice like what's featured on their other machines. I believe the model up from this has an auto feature. We've got a review on the channel too. If I received this as a gift, I wouldn't complain 😁 so if you're getting one for a teacher I'm sure they'd be super happy.

is this gonna brew coffee automatically if i hook it up to a timed smart plug overnight, or do i have to flip that goddamned lever to make it start/stop??

In theory, If you left the lever down, with a coffee pod in, you could turn it on with a smart plug but the water would keep flowing until turned off and eventually you’d have a flooded worktop

@@TechNuovo :( and i assume that putting 'just enough' water in it would be bad for the heater/pump as it wouldnt stop trying to pump/heat after its all used..?

@@Ghryst There's no automatic shut off unfortunately, so the motor would keep running until the lever was reset back to its centre position.

@@TechNuovo well it seems it would still pre-heat the water for me .. its doing better than most coffee machines, which have electronic switches instead of physical ones.. even my water kettle with a physical switch, will not stay engaged without power, as it has a electromagnetic aspect

They’re all very much the same shape and size, but all very small compared to some competitors. We’ve just checked out the Genio S Plus, if you want more functions and automation. Video on our channel 👍

@@TechNuovo I know I’m a bit late with this but there is actually a dolce gusto timer app on iphone/android. It’s set up so you can select the number of bars that is on the pods and you start It when you start brewing and stop brewing once the alarm goes off. It’s a really good app to have especially for using a manual dolce gusto machine as it takes the guess work out of brewing your drink.

Yeah we've spotted some assets used on several channels. Came from a template. We thought it worked well for our channel. But of course with template video and music sites, you will get cross over. Good spot though 😉

Let's be honest, it's louder than a Massey Ferguson and is no advantage over a 1950s kettle. Maybe I'm just bitter after a long journey and arriving at my Airbnb in desperate need of a coffee and having to watch several videos to find out how to do it. useless ,, coffee remain in the foam with milk drinks for some reason, tasteless coffee , don’t ever buy You’ll need to use a timer or your eyes for capsules and that will screw your coffee I finally returned it back to the box after buying another brand yesterday n found great difference
