Simple DIY Battery Lantern To 5v Usb

Just a simple DIY for the time being thought it would be cool to have some simple projects I do that I normally don't build for a video made well into a video. There are many ways to do this and it even had plenty of room for a lipo battery but figured if I did it this way it would make for a great beginner project that wouldn't require any parts really since diodes can be sourced from anything and i'm sure you have a old cable you don't use.

Just a simple project. I wanted to do something anyone could well do with little experience. But a quick comment about the diode another reason I added it even if it isn't most likely needed for this lantern is so if someone plugged this into a usb port while having battery's in it should prevent any back feeding to the usb port but probably still wouldn't be good for the aa battery's if you did that. Anyway the next video should be on the induction heater. However I got some more software videos I am working on I wanted to rehash a old project that worked on windows but have it done much simpler and also work on linux also were gonna see how well chatgpt does programming it first.
