@@justaprinter i'm starting off in a mailing department in a printing company and am not looking back! i love working the plow lines, inserting machines, inkjets.
Thank you very much for your dedication and for the motivation you give us. I started my first job at MM Packaging. I have problems with the machines because at the end of the run the paper is stocked at the output. Please, can your advice help me to have a good working day?
Got a question 4 ya. I use the round circle disk for vacuum adjust but I still get too much at times even fully open and does that gold rod there help adjustment for vacuum? This sheets do a lot of double sheeting after we replaced the suction wheel and any tips ya give would be awesome! Lord bless!
Scoring question: I just watched this and your previous video, and I’m not sure I understood correctly which side to score. When I make a folded insert for a CD/DVD slim case printed on my inkjet, I use a straightedge and a broad line stylus that was made for mimeograph stencils to score (placing the stock on a cutting mat). I have been scoring on the outside which leaves the raised bead on the inside of the folded sheet. In this video you ran the stock outside down. I couldn’t tell for sure if it was the anvil I saw on top or was it the scoring wheel? Please clarify. My experiments had led me to having the bead on the inside.
Enjoying the videos! You seem to have some fairly longs runs for digi. Could you not just buy it in cheaper than the click/paper cost (not withstanding your time)?
Never even heard of that. If you want to score and perf I'd just buy an old Rosback or other simple machine. If you buy something expensive you better have work to run on it every day.
We have the Multigraf 375 creaser and folder. My boss chose it over the Morgana before I started and I think he made a great decision. It's quieter, handles text weight & can take 2 tools simultaneously. We RA perf with the anvil and an accessory wheel. The wheel can lift during the run creating spaces between the perf. It's still dog slow compared to the MBO & it's sensitive to dust, we blow it out once week with the compressor. Otherwise a solid machine.
You gave me a few minutes of entertainment.... Your hand folding is call Dog Paddling lol.... And yes, what you did is the best way to send it..... Your T-49 is probably the best workhorse of the MBO machines. You have the late model Pile height sensor......... If you have issues pulling doubles on light stock put a rubber band on the vacuum drum.... She's a runner....
Out of curiosity, for someone who never has any experience with printing services; would you recommend finding a printing course or at least a community college course for doing this? Or would it be feasible to jump right into printing without any previous experience?
I'd say it depends on the person. A driven individual can jump into it but they will need to be learning along the way. You can learn a lot on the internet now. My parents started the business with no formal printing education before the internet.
@@justaprinter thankyou. One thing I always say that any trade or profession is that you are in you should be still be learning even if you are a veteran in the field. There's always something new being made or discovered so you have to keep up with your knowledge to do the best work possible.
I Have a question on the MBO, The yellow Belts have a life to deteriorate if not used much, and or have some in the black type sold for replacement. Opposed to regular yellow kind, Have you ever used the black type? ie: 25mmx1750mm main folder head and angle folding drive and 20mmx2010 main feed side rollers drive * not the paper drive. Or anyone have a experience on both and would share experience. I just got this folder and seen a good way to fix the best belt to be on. Thanks anyone for comment. Ed
I have replaced the drive belt on the right angle unit with a new yellow one last year. It has worked fine for me. And I have a second drive belt for the main unit. I need to replace both drive belts on the main unit soon. I thought the yellow belts were the only ones available. I bought my belts from updateltd.com
Thank you for replay, yes it is one of the site I was looking for replacement, until I seen this one on ebay and some other sites. eBay item number:153723411598 (jan6-2020). I may try one the black one and let you know later date about it. Thanks and keep putting videos. All is very informative. My CPP650 minolta is running great since your education on the Developer and service code. Thank you.
