In the last video on the 1926-27 Yellow Model T Roadster, Matt and Spencer worked on installing a Flathead V8 into the chassis for the mock up of the engine mounts. Matt likes to place the engine into the rolling chassis to set the desired height before welding in the mounts. Now that Spencer is happy with the engine placement and look, we can work on centering the engine in the chassis and welding in the mounts. Matt likes to use Ford style biscuit mount between the engine and mount on the frame. Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe to keep up to date on our builds and adventures!!

Looking all good and lined up... Nice trick using a laser.... We always had a straight line under the frame and hung Plumb Bobs to line everything up.... Saw on The HAMB where you sold the '32 Cab Rear, also.... Glad you got a Buyer and it got saved.....

if you don't have a press brake you can use a foot of 2x4x .125 tubing and a torch to make the mounts.Keep em coming! love it.

Very nice. I appreciate the simple, basic information. It is stuff I kinda' think I sorta' know, maybe! Nice to have it corroborated. (I like to use big words so people think I'm photosynthesis. 😉) Thanks for the videos.

This is a GREAT video especially since you're building nearly the exact set-up as I am! Keep up the great work and don't forget those extra holes in the belt! hahaha, your buddy's a real wise guy ;)

When my husband (boyfriend then) built his 65 years ago he used the eyeometer and 3ft wooden ruler, ha ha, and the car is still running. .

Great stuff. Please don’t stop. Would love to see you orient the engine to match the rear pinion angle.

Nice simple mounts Matt and they look good. Man that laser is the bomb for lining everything up, very cool. Let Spencer use your punch and put another hole in his belt! haha

You could buy a new belt; they make different sizes. Or do what I do ...use rope and tie to size.

I'm guessing that the 4 wheels are in those pans to keep the car from moving during the adjustments? Looks sweet.

Estoy con lo mismo , adaptando un V 8 como ese en un chasis ford A /29 , veo en el video que modificaron el chasis adelante , donde apoya el motor , es necesario hacer ese cambio realmente ?

I noticed the frame isn't boxed on this one or did I miss your comment on that?

Not boxed. Really isn’t necessary on a stock V8.

@@IronTrapGarage I had always heard it was needed anytime you put a V8 in place of the 4 banger.
