Too many tomatoes in the garden? Let's make my homemade simple tomato sauce! This recipe is especially handy when you don't want your tomatoes to go to waste. Watch until the end of the video to find out how I love to pimp up my tomato sauce!
WHAT YOU NEED //
Tomatoes
White Wine Vinegar
Seasoning of your choice (salt + pepper)
Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)
Onion
Garlic Cloves (2-3)
Frying Pan
Hand Mixer
Parmesan
STEP BY STEP //
Chop up onion
Mince Garlic
Dice tomatoes and put to the side
Heat frying pan with EVOO
Put onion and garlic in pan and stir until fragrant (~1-2 minutes)
Add in diced tomatoes
Cook down until everything has softened
Add a splash of white wine
Season with salt and pepper to taste
Use hand mixer to create that smooth consistency
Allow to simmer until it's cooked down
Add some parmesan
For extra flavor add some of your favourite flavors like cayenne pepper, rosemary, basil, oregano, parsley etc.
Add to pasta, chips, pizzas and more!
