Thanks for your comment but all of the engines I make are built in dribs and drabs over a long period when I have a bit of free time and my camera is fairly basic ( a phone) so thats my excuse
@@VincesEngines simplest engine i have seen is this type but only one valve which work as intake and exhaust, or im not 100% sure about the exhaust because it is poorly presented video. It closes when ignition makes pressure inside the system and opens when the piston moves back. You just need to figure out how to put fuel in the one valve
Thanks ,I didn't make the ring for this particular engine as I used a cab shock absorber off a truck for the cylinder and the shock piston had a ring on it and I used that , but you could just use an O Ring for the piston ring.
Thanks Alex97 I used a ring and a cylinder from an old cab shock off a truck but rings can be made from cast Iron bar stock and heat treated to give them tension
the valve is made from a 1/4 bsp pipe nipple with a seat cut into one side and a brass guide turned and pressed into the otherside of the nipple and then threaded into a elbow . The valve itself is a poppet valve turned down to suit.Hope this answers your question
I just used a 1/8 bsp T fitting with one male end and machined a seat in it and made a guide in the opposite side and then made a standard poppet valve to suit
@@VincesEngines thanks! im currently building a similar engine and i used a 8 mm and a unknown size drywall screw for the exhaust. Im in the process of making the intake valve
No it has two valves the same as any conventional 4 stroke but the inlet valve is just opened by the vacuum acting on it as the piston goes down on its intake stroke
@@akelectricals11 Hi the ignition coil is one I bought but the can be found on an old lawn mower or motor cycle that uses a contact breaker ignition system .I cannot provide a circuit diagram but if you google contact breaker ignition circuit you will find plenty of examples . Thank for your compliment but I am no genius . I hope this is of some help.
