I use small scissors and I find that when you turn the paper not the scissors it’s easier but I hate fussy cutting 😂

I attempt fussy cutting. I think I’ve surprised myself about how much better I’ve gotten over the years. I use these small cinnamoroll ones I bought from miniso lol 😂😂

I love your layout. I have some Mary Englebreit magazines that have paper dolls in them. I took a couple of them and put them on tags. I am making fairy and mermaid journals for my granddaughters and putting the paper doll tags in them. My granddaughter is going to her junior prom tomorrow and she just got her prom dress. It is emerald green with a long flowing hem in back . With her long red hair she looks like the little mermaid Ariel.

Really love your junk journal spread. I would not say cluttered at all - it’s just fun! 😊 I don’t really like fussy cutting, I find it tedious, but I do it. With big old regular scissors. Maybe that’s why it’s so tedious? 😂

I love fussy cutting. I find it very therapeutic. I use small fiskars scissors that have a spring so my hand doesn’t wear out as much.

When the first gal in our bff group was getting married, we went to the fashion district to find the bridesmaid dresses and wedding gear and it was sooo much fun, and not as expensive as we thought it would be since you could barter prices for buying multiples of the same style dress to “matcha matcha” especially 20 years ago. You just reminded me! We are having a bff’s girl trip to Vegas in June with the same group and I’m planning on having them journal and craft with me! LOL! I purchased jumbo Vegas playing cards to make mini junk journals and ordered Vegas themed charms to make them bracelets/journal dangles. I’m so excited! I’ve never really had a weekend getaway from the kiddos and hubby before so it’s going to be a pleasant time especially since we are all in our 40’s wanting to relax and not party and since we are staying in a timeshare, we have plenty of room to craft and chillax by the poolside and hang out at the strip at night. I’ll definitely reminisce about the fashion district with them in Vegas, if not the penpal group prompt I’ve created with them the last few months. Lovely journal layout!

I use scissors from Stampin Up. They are small but the tips are made specific for fussy cutting and I've had mine for about 10yrs. They make it alot easier especially for detailed pieces.

One of the first things I loved about Americans when I first moved here was hearing them say things like “fussy cutting!” lol It sounded so much more magical than plain old cutting out. I love how you decorate your journal and that it doesn’t have to be all matchy matchy or just one particular style. You make it so fun and inspiring and bring out the little girl in me that just wants all the pretty stuff in her notebook. 🥰

I use large scissors for fussy cutting too, small scissors need to have a larger area for my fingers and I've yet to find the perfect pair! Love the layout with the little girl dresses! 😊👗😊
